Currently India is in the Top of the ICC test ranking. I dont think that indians are showing perfomance which is expected from a No:1 team. India is performing poorly. If Idia looses this series then India will loose the top position also. the main problem is with the bowling.Indian bowlers should take more responsibility, they should bowl better. If once Indian batting fails then India will lose the match,What is this????? Indian bowling is matched for a no:10 team. India got the first position only due to the batsmen. What do you think.

I feel India got that No 1 spot by luck and I not many days will they be able to stay at No 1 spot. But Indian bowling is always weak and only batting which is making them good team. Australia is struggling that is the reason why we are in the top spot and South Africa too were not able win the last few test matches which allowed India to take that No 1 spot narrowly, so I would say luck. I would like to see India draw the test against Sri Lanka and prove me wrong. But still I will say Indian team is playig poor bowling line up. They are fit for club cricket not for international cricket.

I feel that idian bowling is worst among the world. only the spinners have a littile talent and they perform some what well. but the pace attack is the worst in the world, even the ireland, bangladesh, zim pace attack is better than this. this bowling attack should be rated as the 11th or 12th. such a poor bowling. even the tail enders can easily score centuries against india, in last amtch herath and mallinga scored beautifull half centuries and if sanga allowded them to carry on they would have made centuries. cant these guys bowl some good yorkers, then why do they get into the team as bowlers? feel sad and shame on indian bowling.

That is the question that most of the pundits are asking. But I always believe that rankings do not often lie. The answer to the question could with that batting line up India does deserve to be the Test No. 1 team. Also remember that the people responsible for getting India there are likes of Kumble, Zaheer and Sreesanth in patches with others such as Bhajji, Mishra and Ishaant chipping in around them. In this series these three are not around with Kumble now retired and Zaheer not there give the initial cutting edge. So yes Indian bowling currently does look toothless, but hey this is the chance for the likes of Mithun to show they are good enough!! Cheers! Ram

absolutely. but we cant blame it entorely on bowling team. in fact the reason for indian descend is more to do with batting than bowling. we had our bets high on batting. sachin dravid sehwag laxman gambhir dhoni yuvraj..so its obvious that batting had to be of world class..with just bhajji mithun ojha sharma we couldnt expect more. thank god, mithun wasn't bad..if he too was a flop, then the match would ve been over by now.

Hi ! I am not good at cricket, but I guess you are right . India is not that strong at bowling compared to its batting. I guess the reason is Indian Batsmen are celebrated more and hence during selection, aspirant Batsmen get in while the ones poor in batting but skilled in bowling are neglected. Things shall change.

Hi ramaswamyvtkv, We can not say that Indian bowlers are not good.Dont you remember the bowling performance against South Africa. They get all wicket in crucial situation. Already we have some good performance. The thing is we have to imprvove lot more.
