legal assistance for those unable

Many among us, who feel not get justice in the law. Many among us too, perhaps, need assistance from an attorney in resolving legal issues that we face but hampered because not capable pay lawyer's fees and court costs.
I do not know in your country, in Indonesia there is an obligation of a lawyer to provide legal assistance free of charge to community members who need it but in reality this is rarely used because there is an underestimation that, if you use the services of a lawyer free of charge means lawyers use the services of an amateur.
How in your country, you've heard about the free legal aid for those who can not afford?

hi advokatku here in the U S in mystate of California we who are very poor
can get free legal aid but it just depends on the lawyer. If you are lucky and get a good qualified lawyer its fine but sometimes the new ones get to do the pro bono work and some are not very good lawyers. so there is free legal aid which may be very good or very poor.

what a lawyer who provides legal aid free of charge that's organized by an organization? at Indonesia, attorney who provides free legal assistance is generally organized by legal aid organization

Here in my country,free legal assistance is not common,or maybe i can say that,only a few knows where to run too when it comes to legal matters.
Every municipality had this program offering free legal assistance within their localities.
But the problem is,the lawyer is not available all the time.
In our studio (tv station)we are rendering free legal assistance everyday and lawyers are always available there,3 or 4 lawyers everyday with their specialization,and not an amateur one.
Some people really thought that,since it is free,they think maybe those lawyers are not good ones,or fresh graduates.
No,our lawyers (in our station) are not amateur lawyers,one of them is our country's commissioner,and all our lawyers are not amateur but one of the best in town.

There are legal aid societies in the US for low income people. I don't really know how they work though.
