My Question About This Fishy Online Job Opportunities

I accidentally visited a website advertised through Google Adwords (PPC), it's about "part time online jobs", it's actually about data entry. After browsing the whole page, at the end of the page, at the bottom of the web page, I am being asked to pay $65 for membership fee! I thought it is about "job opportunity" online where we can apply for work, work in our spare time and get paid for the work done. Now, why is it we are being asked to pay money? I just wonder why.
In the offline, if you search your local government bulletin board, you will see those postings about job opportunities. They were posted by those local companies in search of people to hire. Of course you have to spend money securing your papers like police clearance and medical examination to ensure you are fit for the work you are applying for, but the prospective employers, I mean the companies never ask for a fee just like membership fees of these online data entry jobs!
I smell something fishy with these online companies. Why ask us to pay when they are the ones supposed to be paying us? They are our employers right, so just like in the offline, they are the ones supposed to pay us after we have finished their requested tasks!
What's your view of this?

well it is most likely a scam. why do you have to pay when what your looking for is a site that you want to get paid with.

Probably most of the sites asking for fee are scam. You are looking for jobs to earn money not looking for someone to stole money from you. Also, with investing through this membership fee, you are not sure if you could get your money back in the jobs that they would be offering. I always see sites like this but whenever I see that there is a membership fee I would get out of the page and would look for something else. I just hate why some people are making money illegally. Well, I don't really generalized all sites that ask for membership fee are scamers but one should be very careful and should have a background check on that site through searching for feedback and reviews.

well i encountered the same thing. It's not legit site, it's a scam for sure because we are looking for ways to earn money so avoid registering to those sites who are asking for fees.
