Was Mr. YRS Reddy a great person?

The day and after the death of the CM YRS Reddy (Andhra Pradesh), news were striking with one after the other sucides by the fans of CM. It made me think more as Was YRS Reddy a big leader, even above the freedom fighters (like Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru etc) because even on death of big leaders like gandhiji too there were no suicides. But what is so great Mr.YRS did for Andhara that people wanted to go along with him on eternal yatra.
