When I was in the Philippines (my country) I didn't drink softdrinks because of the bad result although I don't have any idea how it will affect my health, I only rely on my friends advice. I used to drink Ice Tea instead of softdrink unless I don't have any choice and I'm on the group that the time I drink softdrinks but ones in 50 meals or snacks. In my present location, we provided a softdrinks unlimited, no ice tea provided by the company so I don't have any choice except to drink alot of dosage. You can take a gallon if you want. Which do you prefer if you have given a chance to choose? Please share with us.

Herro julyteen I'm in the US so I don't know what you mean by company providing soda or tea. Personally, I drink very little of either due to caffeine and/or acid. I can buy caffeine free soda, however high in sugar. I cannot drink diet, gives me migraines. I don't like unsweetened tea, besides caffeine. I drink lots of lo sugar fruit juices, lots of water. Prosperous mylotting

hi! i'm now into herbal and totally removed softdrinks in my system. so between the two, i'll take the iced tea. hehe being involved in a company with herbal products, attending health awareness programs and participating in medical missions i have encountered several cases of high risk diabetes patients and those who are acidic and with ulcers. one thing common that they have is drinking lots of softdrinks... which in effect if we take away the coldness of the drink, it's no longer refreshing. if we take away the carbon, there's no more kick into it. all that is left is lots and lots of sugar... which is so bad for those at risk of getting diabetes and those who are already diabetics.

I what I have said in my other comments I drink alot of dosage of softdrinks everyday. OMG I am afraid of what you are saying about those people who are addicted to cola. I don't have any choice here and drinking cola can relieve your thirst. It's very hot here in Middle East and we need fluids everyday. The only options I have now if I don't want to drink cola is water. Water here is expensive than cola but in our cafeteria or in the hotel it's free.

not everyone who drinks cola have diabetes. cola is not the only thing with lots of sugar. hehe but just for preventive measures, we should lessen or not drink cola at all. water is best for rehydration. it has more oxygen which the body needs. if you can't help but drink cola, i hope you compensate by eating healthier. that may lessen the impact of bad effects cola can do to our bloodstream. since water is also free in your hotel, take advantage of it.

Soft drinks. I love them. But, recently my stomach hasn't been able to handle them, so I have to cut back. I treat myself to one day a week as soft drink day. But, if I had my way, I'd drink them every day.

Better you set a schedule for you to drink cola one's in a week. The problem is although it's one per week and you drink alot of dosage so still the same. I hope you drink only minimal to satisfy your thirst. One glass a week maybe can not destroy your health.

I would always iced tea over softdrinks because I think it is much healthier. However, I am not really a softdrink drinker either nor iced tea drinker. I always go for mineral water. I could go months without drinking softdrink or days without tasting a drop of iced tea. Even if I don't have a choice and its free, I would still not go for softdrinks.

I love ice tea but when I will continue that habit here I will spend money to buy, I prefer for free, Hehehe. Cola here is free from the hotel cafeteria for associates only. You can drink it unlimited unless you are not ashamed to do so.

there's another way, you spend money to buy it from the store but for us here better to save our income to send it to our family in our own country. As far as I can will save all my salary, less expense should i think everytime I received the fruit of my effort.

Hello, I think I choose ice tea rather than softdrink. But, if I can still get pure water, I will choose pure water, because pure water is the best for our health. Too much tea is also not good... but pure water.. more glasses we can drink is more good for our health. Have a nice day.. Best wishes,

I totally agree with you. Too much softdrinks, juices, tea, and everything that is mixed with water is really bad for the health. And also, water is still the best drink ever.

I prefer iced tea with lemon, no sugar. I used to drink soft drinks but I got tired of them cause they always made me feel bloated and did not add any good things to my life style. I used to drink them when I felt thirsty but after a while they did not do any goo. I always liked tea. I also drink hot green tea. The more I read about teas the more I like them. So long as you don't add sugar they are mostly good for you.

it is not good to drink too much softdrink / carbonated drinks because of the high sugar level.. but i think all pre-packed drinks (canned or treta-pack) are not really good for you, even tea.. because they do contain a certain level of sugar.. and preservatives.. it is nice the your employer provides a free-flow of drink.. but maybe you could suggest something more 'healthier'.. softdrinks would be 'nice' once in a while.. but fruit juice, or plain water works just fine for me...

in the family, we also seldom drink soda or softdrinks. we prefer iced tea or fruit juices. i remember, once my grade 1 son was still in day care center, he said he will not drink coke again. that's because he learned from their teacher that coke kills. i don't know how it was taught to them but i also learned and have watched the video clip how coke or other soft drinks could kill one person. that's aside from diabetes.

Between the two, I'd prefer Ice tea. If ever it had a bad effect on my health at least it's the lesser evil compared to softdrinks. But really I rather go for plain water. :)

It depends on my mood. But if I am to consider the health risks, I would prefer to drink iced tea. Soda is bad for my because my family has a history of diabetes. I was also told to lessen, if not stop, drinking iced tea because I have a constantly low blood pressure, and iced tea dilutes blood. But low blood pressure is easier to cure than diabetes... so I go for iced tea. Hehe...

Each has its stimulating effect. And the usual we alsways prefer of iced tea than cola drinks because of its bad result on our health. And knowing that cola can be used as a disinfectant then one cannot deny the fact of its possibility to think that it contains chemicals that may affect our body organs. However both iced tea and cola has high sugar and not good for those having diabetic so not generally good coz it always depend on ones health condition.

i agree with your opinion, maybe I'm lucky now because I am not a diabetic. Today, I drink I think almost 1 liter of softdrinks from our cafeteria. It's because it's too hot here although I'm on the office and the aircon is very cool but still my buddy need fluids.

I love certain soft drinks, my favorite being Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper. But I think if i had the choice I would probably choose Iced Tea. I find it to be more refreshing and thirst quenching than soft drinks.

Drink water instead. It is the safest. But iced tea is good, too, especially if it has more herbs than chemicals. It aids in your bowel movement. It is also a good substitute for coffee. I tried drinking iced tea to help me stay awake when I have to study.
