Hi Mylotters! I guess everyone watched this movie before. A common man (loser) blaming all his misfortune to God. But one day, God come to him and give him a chance by giving power to him to do whatever he wants. So, any of mylotters here ever felt like how Bruce was in this movie? Ever thought of all the things happen to you should be blamed to someone else? As for me, I've been thinking about it a long time already. Being some misfortune should be blame towards someone else and wish that God grant me some power to make things different according to my own will (just like Bruce in this movie). I would like to hear your experience in life related to this matter. Have a nice day! Quote from the movie: "That's how the cookie crumble!"

The thing that moved me in the film is the scene where Bruce sees his girlfriend praying for him. But the very idea that made me think a lot is the part where Bruce was embarrassing Evan on live television. Sure, it was funny and for all we know, he deserved some sort of embarrassment but at the end of the day, he was mistreated and didn't really deserve to be injured. My take on that is it's great if you have all the power to use and abuse on people, including the power to make things like that look like an accident. Then if someone gets hurt, they'll get all the attention you didn't plan on them getting. More importantly...you can't just go around and pass karma to people. The guilt and the conscience isn't worth it.

kind of funny though to use the power and go for abusing it. anyway, you can't mess up with free will and freedom of choosing what others want to do.

I've watched this a few years back. I liked the movie it has a very good lesson in it , but I don't want to be like bruce. I don't want any super power just because I tested God. I'm completely contented with how God made me, and how my life is turning out. I feel that I am truly blessed to have this kind of life. Yes it's full of conflicts, anger, hate, but it's also filled with happiness, love and friendship. Also, I'm not into the habit of blaming people for what's happening to me. I am the sole creator of my destiny. I may have been manipulated and changed by people, but those are all my choices, so I don't blame it on anyone but me

agree. we are the one who created our own destiny. but if we created a path that is wrong, who decide to fail it?

I have seen Bruce Almighty years ago and looking back at it, I do have felt the same thing as you about wishing God would grant me power to make things happen according to my way and my way only. It's a bit selfish so to speak but there are just those times in our lives that we feel so down, that everyone else is pounding over us and all we want is for things to happen the way we want it to. We shouldn't blame others on our misfortune. Some things just turn out better for others and worst for us..But we should put in mind that "Life's a roller coaster". We can go up and down, up and down.. And we just have to ride it to survive. :) Best of luck

Yup. somehow it's true. By the way, there's always reason for being up and being down at the same time. In fact, if you watch the movie, lots of people in the world hoping for the best in their prayers (kind of funny when seeing the movie of how God processing prayers). Anyway, should effort be done towards a good will but not succeed and at the end labeled as bad ideas, what should be pointed at for the failure?
