Spontaneity and craziness

Once I went to the beach with two guy friends, at first we just intend to spend a relaxing time there, but then the sun was shining brightly and the ocean just seemed to beckon to us, there and then on the spot, we decided, We Are Going In.... The thing is, we have only one towel and one extra pair of man's shorts between us. We disregard that fact, and we just jumped right in and worry about the problems later. After we had a good swim, we just strolled along the beach, got dried by the sun, then went off to the nearest shop to buy a change of clothes. I think that was about the craziest thing I have done but it was so fun! We just acted out of spontaneity! Have you done anything crazy recently that was spontaneous and enjoyable?

I am a spontaneous person, but not to the extreme. It usually involves traveling and spending money... I remember when I was in a very long cue to buy Harry Potter tickets one night. I was with six of my friends. Judging by the position we were in the cue, it's doubtful that we would get some tickets. On impulse, I asked my friend to stay in the line and I walked toward the front of the line. There was a rule that each person can only buy maximal four tickets. I chose my target well, I approached couples. I asked how many tickets they planned to buy, and when they said only two, I begged for them to buy two more for me. Some refused, but in the end I got seven tickets for me and my friends, though we have to sit separately. It was no problem at all. My friend told me then that I was crazy.

That was a clever thing to do! I wouldn't have the nerve to do that though, I would just gritted my teeth and waited for my turn Your friends must have appreciated that effort.

I am a very spontaneous person, so I always act according to what I feel and think. :) If that is considered being crazy, then, I guess I am crazy person. LOL

Remember to show some consideration for friends and family, not everyone can take spontaneity readily.

hi bluemoonpavilion nope I have not actually done any thing really just spontaneously in years. When my hubby was alive we used to take the pickup and just go for a drive, and a random destination. Once we ended up at a flower farm where my husband bought me a huge bouquet of Stock, oh they were so sweet smiling and so pretty. anothertime we ended up at a koi farm and I wanted to make a pool in our yard and have some koi.Another time we ended up in a small all negro church where we were warmly welcomed and we enjoyed the exuberant way they sang and worshipped. We were made to feel really welcome even if we were the only white people there. the thing is my husband was an on the spur of the moment type of guy. This made for a life of fun times.

Hi hatley, Your experiences sounded really fun. Your late husband was such a spontaneous person, he must be fun to be around with. As long as you are not running into any danger, this kind of driving around makes for a fun filled short holiday.

Whoa, I guess I have not been spontaneous for a long long time as the working world must have dulled my senses in that respect. I can recall going for a Club Med holiday where my friend and I amongst a few others were pulled up to perform in one of their nightly concerts to the resorts holidayers. The tune that we were supposed to perform to was "Hey Big Spender" a kinda song and dance item. We were given costumes befitting the role and danced chorus line. Basically without that spontaneity, I would not for the life of me perform or gone on stage without much of a rehearsal too! It was good clean fun and the photos that were taken still draw a smile.

I find this "work taking over life" situation a common phenomena, can we still enjoy the simple delights of life sparkled by spontaneity? I would love to see you do that song and dance thing. Moments like this are memorable because there was not too much planning and things just take their own course.

I have not done anything crazy that would be considered spontaneous in a long time! I have been working so much, that it's ridicilious. But I do remember years ago, my friend use to call me up all the time, and ask me, if i wanted to go to a Metal concert, and I was always down for it, and i will ask him when is it? and he'll tell me in a 2hours, and the show will be an hour away. he use to do that to me all the time, and i always jumped up, and told him YEA! It was always cool to do that, waking up, thinking it's gonna be a boring day, until one phone call that i would receive, would make it epic! It was always enjoyable, and I would consider that spontaneous.

Do take a break from time to time, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy I remember I used to support a local group who performs on sunday nights, my friend and I would go there every week. It was highly expensive for us because we were students then, and I keep persuading myself, this is the last time, but when the phone rings, there we go again. I can feel the urge still.
