What do you do when you cant go to sleep?

What do you do when you cant go to sleep? Do you try to count sheep? Do you take something Tylenol, PM, Do you smoke, Do you drink a beer? What do you do? Not being able to sleep is an agrivating and dangerous thing for your health. It can cause serious problems. Its very important to change my sleep pattern I go to work soon on the 9th of August and I must change it by then. My kids are having the same problem I must make then change theirs too. Wish me luck.

reading books.make sure there are books in hard topic or the one that you hardly understand it.for me if i choose the book that i love to read i will continue read it and it wont help me to get to sleep.so try to understand some difficult topic and read them i bet you will get bored and start yawning and then zzzzz...

Not being able to sleep is dangerous for everyone health.so we should be found the cause which make our can not sleep. and relex.i will think out something or somebody when i can not sleep.so we must make some change.wish luck. and believe our get better and better for sleeping.

i think a lot. i just lie down on my bed and stay there until i fall asleep or come up with something to do other than thinking. sometimes, i read or listen to music. i don't drink whatever they say that may help. it's not really working on me.

I listen to music. More romantic music because it is soft and mellow. It makes m feel sleepy as I go listen to this kind of sound. I also read those books which i am not like to read. I make those things that i don't like so i feel bored. And it helps me to go for sleeping even i cannot feel. Thanks and have a nice day!

My boyfriend is watching movies before he fall asleep. I don't have problems with that. I fall asleep 10-15 minutes after going to bed. :)

Actually, I keep a book of Sudoku by my bed. Not the easy ones, mind you, the extremely hard ones. The puzzles help with problem solving and logic, while the concentration makes you very tired. Many a night I have fallen asleep with a Sudoku book in my lap...

It depends. If I have to get up the next morning, I will just lie there and wait for sleep. Sometimes, I'll run through imaginary stories in my head as if they're movies. Even an hour or two of sleep is better than none. But if I don't have to get up, I'll get up and make myself some tea and go on the PC and try to do something useful. I hate not sleeping, but thank goodness I have the ability to catch up.

The best way for me to sleep is to close my eyes an try to shut down my mind, stop thinking at stuff. Just lay in the bed with your eyes closed an think at....Black, all black that's how it works for me. or read a book:)

whenever this problem arises for me....i use various ways to get sleep....... but maximum times i just read book...reading book is the best way to get sleep......i tried it last night....and i read inspirational book when i dont sleep.....this gives a best sleep....try it and tell your kids ....i am sure it will work..... all the best....

I drink a warm glass of milk. Somehow it calms me and makes me feel ready for bed. If milk is not available, cocoa would do. But not coffee or tea. After I drink the milk, I brush my teeth, settle in bed in my favorite position and just keep my eyes closed. I'll fall asleep faster if I'm hugging a pillow. I guess this habit is carried over from my childhood. My mom used to make us drink milk before going to bed. So I guess my body just got used to the routine. It even worked for me when I used to work on a night shift. When I get home in the morning, I would still drink milk before sleeping. It still worked!

I usually read, it helps me get sleepier. But make sure the book is not very, very good, as it might end up keeping you up instead of making you sleepy if it is. So a sort of boring and repetitive book works best!

When i dont dont get sleep i used to listen to prayers from my mobile. I know the secret to my sleep. When I am depressed i dont get sleep, then i begin to divert my mind away from the problem and try to sleep.

Keep the television on and watch it all night lol. It helps because eventually you will notice your eyes to be burning a little which helps me alot when I'm tired. Makes sleeping much easier when you're sleepy lol. Also a nice glass of milk wouldn't hurt either :) hope I helped :/

When i have no sleep usually i listen to music and sometimes i paint , composing music or read all kinds of books it depends how i feel in that moment. Wish you will have luck :P
