What is beauty to you?

People with different races find the meaning of beauty different. In some areas around the world, some people think that if you have bigger eyes then you are pretty. A lot of people here in my country thinks that if you have a fairer skin, then you are pretty. Other also think that if you have a tan skin, then you are pretty. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What is beauty to you? How can you say if something or someone is beautiful?

Ok, let me give you an example. that's you. Look at your picture, big eyes,straight nose, smiling mouth. all these make up a beautiful face. Of course, this beauty is referring to physical body. If a beautiful face concealing a devil, I am sure however the person is, there will be no man willing to get along with him.
This discussion reminded me of a proverb. That is virtue is fairer far than beauty.

I like that proverb too. Virtue is beauty. How can we ever deal with someone who is beautiful outside but ugly inside. This reminded me of one person, she is beautiful but she doesnt have a very good attitude. And I wonder why there are still other people who thinks of her as very desirable.

seriously, beauty for me is an asset and a factor. if you are pretty then there are a lot of opportunities that you can avail. like rich men will court you, if you will apply they hire you, people will make friends with you. thats the advantage of being beautiful.

People see beauty in different ways. Beauty is just not physical appearance. Beauty to me is found within a person. Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder!@p3ks626 (6538)

Just like what I said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Physical appearance is important but what lies within is more important. There are some women and men who beautiful but they become boastful and tend to look down at others because they look like that. Well, that definitely isnt beauty at all.

I think most boys are interested in things like that. There are men who are more concerned about how their partners would look like. its just sad because if the basis of having a relationship within someone is something like that, then its not going to last long since physical beauty doesnt last forever.

beauty is deeper than the skin itself. most people will see beauty from how they look, but consider as well, beauty come from within self. but do everyone see the beauty inside rather than how they look like?
base on my experience, I search for those who have beautiful personality.

Good for you! I think its better to search for those who have a very beautiful personality cause you will know for yourself that have the best. Its better to have someone who has a beautiful personality cause having a beautiful personality will also make someone beautiful outside cause it will project from within.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder ,In any situation.
With people it can turn superficial . Like looks, personalty,means nothing to a lot as long as it looks good. Though a true blue smile is beauty in the making.
I think beauty is open for anyone, any time to use.Whats great about having beautiful traits is not knowing .Once someone realizes they are beautiful, they seem to change for the worst

To put one thing as a answer would be silly.Its human nature to assess beauty.What one calls beauty another may not care for.
In the end there are not many that can say they don't think what you mentioned above.It seems like no matter what you have traits,personal looks ect.You always want something different.Anyone who disagree's would be lying to themselves.
It would be beautiful ,To feel beautiful in each and every way.

One will always look for someone attractive if you are looking for a mate of course. We consider the beauty outside as well as the beauty inside. But let us always make sure that the beauty they have inside, is much more than what he or she has outside.

Well I agree totally with you. Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder. Anything that is beautiful for one person may be just ordinary for others. So there is not any fixed definition for a beautiful thing.
As far as i am concerned, i am kind of a person for whom internal beauty is more important than physical beauty. So for me someone having a very lovely heart is more beautiful than someone having a good face or some other such features.
So I find that someone beautiful who have a very good nature and who is kind and caring.

What is beauty to one may not be beauty to others. Beauty is really subjective as you have rightly put it as well. What lies beyond the physical is something quite hidden but is normally the truth. When one is able to reach that deep in someone else then one is able to see what beauty is actually.

For me beauty comes from inside. I have friends who dont look good but they have a lot of humour to cheer you. Such friends are always welcome. They always make your day when you are down with pain and stress. They share laughter with you.

Good for you to have friends like that. I think they are a good example of true beauty. it has nothing to do with what you have outside, but what you have inside. People like that are more gifted than those with physical beauty but doesnt know how to make other people happy.

You are correct. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For me, beauty lies within. What may be beautiful to others might not be the same to some. I may not be attracted to someone's eyes or color of skin. Beauty radiates from the purity of the heart, a healthy conscience, a happy disposition to everyone and everything around him/her. Maybe these things bring out the aura of that person and makes him/her stand out. I would rather see beauty inside the person for what he/she is rather than for what he/she has. To me, that is beautiful.

Beauty to me, is not only seen outside your physical appearance, but also most importantly is the beauty you have inside. We cannot appreciate real beauty of a person if she is doing bad things, like she don't how to respect the elders, love thy neighbors and etc. and also beauty should be accompanied by brain.. How about you? do you have beauty and brain?

We really cant appreciate if the person is doing bad things especially if they are somewhat beautiful inside. But sad o day that there are others who are more concerned about how they look physically and just do bad things to others without even thinking if they are hurting them already or anything like that.
