Long vs short hair...what to do?

My daughter who is 3 has fine blonde hair just past her shoulders which seems to take forever to grow. I want to keep my daughter's hair growing long but my husband want to keep her hair about the length it is now. His reasoning is because his sister had long hair & remembers the fights his sister & mom went through when it was hair-brushing time...I always had long hair as a child - I could sit on mine & I went through the same thing - my mom called it "torture time at the zoo"
I don't necessarily want my daughter to have hair as long as I did but maybe half-way down her back...what do you think?

Well, your daughter is old enough that you could really ask her what she would like to have done with her hair. My daughter wasn't much older than your daughter when she decided that she wanted to chop off her hair. It went from her midback to the bottom of her ears in a single day. I only allowed this to happen because of the fact that is what she told me that she wanted. I think at that age it is important to let your children know that they have some say in their lives.

This is very true...I have asked my daughter & she has said that she would like to have long hair.

I have asked my daughter & she says she wants it long but I don't know if that's because I have long hair or not.

This is true...I am starting to teach her to look after her hair now...whenever I wash her hair, I let her help with putting the shampoo in her hair & we take turns in brushing her hair & I show her how to brush her hair properly.
