Biden is in my state today stumping for Rep. John Spratt. In his fundraising speech he said the GOP is just an extention of the Tea Party Movement and that htey are "dead set on moving us backward.” http://www.politico.com/politico44/perm/0710/tying_it_together_d5cb6b1c-e228-40ee-955e-43769fc76916.html Ummm...psst..Joe..umm..I don't know how to tell you this...but in this state the Tea Party and the Republican party have been about to kill each other sence the last presidential primary started. It has been nasty. The Republican establishement here has not tried to "bring them into the fold". They have basically tried to just make them go away. Not that it has worked. Lets see Graham called them "crazies", "fringe", oh and "libartarians" (like it was a curse word). Another politican said "Ron Paul is not welcome in this state" and that "Ron Paul does not represent conversative views", it has even been said that "Tea party poeple need to go join the libartain party and leave us alone". The good old boys here have done just about everything they can to push them out. It has gotten ugly on both sides at times. With the whole thing revolving around what really "defines" a conservative or a republican. The party here says walk in step with us ON EVERYTHING or you are not a real republican...the Tea Party people have basically called them NEOCONs and RINOs. So both are claiming the other is "not really a republican or a conservative". With a few exceptions within the state republican party...most just wish the tea party people would shut up and go away. I guess someone forgot to tell Joe about the little war going on here. I guess he should have asked Graham, DeMint, Wilson or Sanford about it. They have all been up to their necks in the fight (not all on the same side of course)

Biden is really a joke. This whole administration is for that matter. None of them know anything about what they are doing.

Biden has a long history of gaffs and speaking without really knowing what he talking about. I just think it is funny that he is talking to the democrats of SC and telling them that the tea party was part of the republican party. The Dems of this state have baeen sitting back and watching all the fireworks and fights going on between the two in this state for 2 years now...they had to be laughing at Biden.

I guess Joe thinks that if he links the Republicans to the Tea Party, it will hurt the Republicans. The GOP should be so lucky as to have Tea Party approval, but sadly, in many places the GOP can't see beyond their own hierarchy and party lines. In the end, the telling line is "they want to move us backwards". It's the only campaign slogan being used by Dems these days, even Obama. Hey, you don't want them to undo our progress, do you? The real problem that Joe and friends have is that yes, we do want to back up and away from a heck of a lot of things the Congress has done and things that Pelosi and Reid have done and things Obama has done. I don't think this tactic is going to produce a lot of votes. It will just please the ears of those die-hards who would vote Democrat no matter what they stood for.
