This is the renaissance age of great point guard play in the NBA. You've seen Steve Nash, Chris Paul, Jason Kidd, and recently Deron Williams informally crowned as the best point guards in the NBA. You have a crop of great new guards who are chasing the mantle: Derrick Rose, Rajon Rondo, John Wall, Russell Westbrook, Tyreke Evans, Brandon Jennings, etc. Who is the next great and number one point guard and why?

It is hard to say.but i like Derrick Rose best.frankly,i don't often pay much attention to their performance in the games.Rondo really expressed me in the finals.without him LA can kick celtics' hip as easily as having a cake .He did make some trouble to LA.even though Rondo is not good at shooting ,he can score any time he likes.therefore ,i support Rondo .

I like Rondo. Outside of shooting, he has a well rounded game. He can shoot but doesn't have the confidence in himself. Did you see him and Kevin Durant battle it out in HORSE at the last NBA All-Star game? I still think that he benefits by playing Boston's Big 3. If you have to be honest with guarding the Big 3, Rondo has the opportunity to play folks on a one-on-one basis.

The next great and number one point guard for me is no other than Rajon Rondo. We have seen him mature over the playoffs and he really is the best in my opinion. But he should really improve his three-point shooting because he sucks at it. That's just it.:)

Did you see Rondo versus Durant at the past NBA All Star game playing HORSE? Rondo actually can shoot but doesn't have confidence in himself during games which is amazing. He's a very confident player in his ability so it surprises me that he doesn't his shot. I'm curious to see if he keeps evolving this season. He should be able to add to his arsenal this coming season and become a more complete season.
