Can't get help???how to pay$ 40,000.00???

I just found out that because I was in the hospital for 10 days from a Staff in infection in my right hip butt, that it is costing my parents over 40,000! And that they could not get help because they make 45,000 and there is 6 of us, and they said we have to make like half of that to get help... Whats wrong with the world!

I am so glad it is mandatory to have health insurance here. Making 40.000 in a short period is going to be very hard. I really feel bad for you and your family. What are you planning on doing to make the money?

Hello JacobPickett, you can give the hospital $10 a month and they will not turn you over to collections. $40,000 hospital bill is ridiculous! Double check everything they are charging you for; if you question anything dispute it with the billing department. After you have started making payments find out if you can get a settlement/lower balance. Good luck
