Guy's Can you compare The Legendary "Michael Jordan" over Lebron James? How could we appreciate Magic's comment over Lebron who's completely different from that of His Airness Michael jordan?

In terms of basketball skills, I can fairly compare Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Both can handle the ball well; can make his own move; plays on a higher level better than anybody else. But in terms of basketball supremacy, none can beat Michael Jordan in that aspect. The championships, individual awards alone sets him on a different level than LeBron. Like MJ said, he and Magic would never team up to win a championship but rather compete for one. That's what sets MJ apart from LBJ who went for the easier way to hopefully win championships by joining other superstars. Say goodbye to LeBron's legacy; of what could have been the best in NBA history considering that he has been breaking records throughout his years. What record will he break now if he's with D.Wade who is breaking records as well?

I like your last point. It's true Lebron and Dwyane are both superstars. One of them, or both, won't be able to use their abilities to the max because there's another star playing so well in the same team. When James was in Cavs, he was the leader, leading scorer, and pretty much the one people would come to watch for. Same thing goes for Wade. If they both play in the same team, who's gonna be the leader? I don't think Lebron will accept the fact that Wade is more senior in Heat because he was there first. Not mentioning Chris Bosh. LOL. Now I can see how the saying 'sometimes less is more, and more is less' works in this team. They have more stars than any other team in NBA, there could be internal conflict within the team. Hopefully not but I really think that Lebron will not accept his role from being the main character to a supporting character. If he gets the main character role, who knows what Wade might do.

I hope it all goes well for them. To be optimistic about it, DWade, LBJ and Bosh played on the same team during FIBA and the Olympics.. and they did played well. But its the NBA were talking about. Superstars should make a name for himself no matter how of a ballhog he becomes .. such as Kobe. He has been dubbed as a ball hogger for so many years, after all the losing seasons with his remarkable scoring output.. Looking at him now. Championship after championship. He has 1 more than Shaq! Goodluck to LBJ and D.Wade.. I doubt, if Miami doesn't win a championship in 1-3 seasons, one of those 3 guys will likely to move out from the team and find another one else where.. If that happens to LBJ, Cleveland's owner really got his open letter to the bank.

I respect both of these comments. I'm afraid that this will set a new trend in the NBA. The weaker teams will not be able to compete & not draw hometown crowds. The money will only come in when the super teams play on the weaker home teams turf once or twice a season.

Lebron James can never be better or as good as MJ now that he has made that decision. First of all , it ruins his legacy and second of all that is D. Wade's town. He calls the shots there , not Lebron James,

no, i couldn't compare lebron james to michael jordan or anyone else for that matter since hes been retired. well, that is if you don't count when he played for the wizards. jordans will to be the best was absolutely stronger when comparing him to lebron james. however, i think lebron james made a smart move deciding to go to the miami heat to try and win a ring. hes not wasting any time looking to play for the best and able team. he cut to the chase.

i read so many criticisms of lebron james' arrival to miami heat, joining dwayne wade and chris bosch. it would have been easier for me to understand james' decision if cleveland cavaliers did not show signs that it wanted to keep him badly. james simply turned his back to the city that considers him as its own and embraced him as its hero. he is into something. and that's hard to understand unless i am lebron james. even if he wins a ring, people will not look up to him. what a pity!

Well the one thing that people forget about is that despite all of MJ's super human abilities, he was very much a team player. Remember he had Scottie Pippen ( an all time Top 50 player) and Dennis Rodman ( probably the greatest rebounder ever). Part of the Bull's dominance is how those three rotated so well. Lebron in Cleveland never had players of that caliber. We will see if Miami can have the same kind of cohesion. Also, MJ was a stone cold killa on the court. Kobe and Lebron are great, but I have not seen them be anywhere near as aggressive as Jordan. That's probably because the game is lot less physical than it used to be.

We could or couldn't compare Lebron with Michael depending on what aspects of basketball we're talking about. First in terms of playing style, I would say they're both good, but different. Michael is more like a dribbler and shooter kind of player, while Lebron is more like dunker, and powerful player. If we see most of Michael's top 10 plays, we don't see that many dunks. A lot of his plays were buzzer shots, or lay ups, and of course a few dunks. Now see Lebron's top 10, you will see more dunks than layups or shots. They also play different position. Michael is a shooting guard, while Lebron is a power forward. I guess that's why they have different playing style. That's just my opinion though. Second, every NBA players definitely have desires to win championships. In case of Michael, he stays in one team no matter what. Of course we all know he won quite a few championships in Bulls, but even if he didn't win, I doubt he'll move to a different team. For Lebron, even though he's so dominating in games, he still hasn't won a championship, and that's his main reason for moving to Miami. A lot of people got disappointed because of this move. Michael, who stayed in his team, not mentioning his comeback to Washington, became a legend from helping a 'never won a championship' team, to winning a lot of championships. Now a lot of people say that Lebron won't be able to be like Jordan because he moved...I personally don't know but in terms of skill I think they're both equal, but in terms of legacy, nobody can quite beat Jordan yet.

No comparison can be made between LeBron and greats like Jordan and Magic. LeBron had to go looking for a way to win a ring and sign with two of the other best players in the game. Jordan and Magic recruited guys to play and those guys became good once they played with the greats. Plus, Magic and Jordan would have never signed to play with each other. They were competitors and wanted to beat the best of the best, not play with them. This wasy LeBron's cowardly way of getting out of Cleveland and becoming a ring chaser like so many other NBA players. Miami is NOT his team and it never will be because it is DWade's team
