What will you change from your past?

If you were given a second chance by God, what part of your part do you want to go back to and make changes so it would take effect on your future which you want it to be? If I have given a chance, I would like to go back and college and finish it. I only get to finish three years and after that I worked. Life was hard for my family back then and at times we didn't have food on our plate. Although we are all grown up now and my siblings got family...I still can't help but think we might have a better life now if I landed a better job than what I have now. I also want to be given a chance to be there with my father on his death bed. Even if he couldn't speak and hardly breath, because he had a stroke and a machine only helped him breathing. It would different to be beside him and held his hand. I was really not keen on going to hospitals and I have a big phobia on stepping into one. That because of this fear I didn't get to be with my Dad. The only consolation I had was on the night he was having a stroke while sleeping before he was taken to the hospital,he was snoring too loud and I couldn't wake him up, I got the chance to hug him and kiss him and tell him how much I love him.

With me...I didn't want my past. It's not mean i have a happy life in the past, otherwise. My past is very sad. I have a hard childhood. But when i was living hardly. my strive will will be violent. I only think, my life depend on myselft. If I let things, i will never escape that life.

I am sorry to hear that your life back then was very sad. I had a great childhood with my loving family with me. Hope things good for you now. Good Luck!

Now that's one thing we all wish we can do...go back to the past and change things. But when we do that then all things we have now might now be the same. It's a domino effect. But given a chance then I would like to finish college on time and not get married early. About the not getting married early part, that's to be debated coz if I change that then I wouldn't have my two lovely daughters right now.

yup you're right. By doing so we might not have all the good things we have by now. Thanks for sharing juryse and regards to your daughters.

If i will be given the precious chance to change my life from the past, i would persists harder to finish my studies in nursing. To be a good nurse is really my dream ever since i was young, i will be happier now if i got this dream of mine. I would also correct all the wrong things and decisions ive committed in the past if i would be given the second chance to re arrange my life for the second time. More power and good luck!

Many things happen in our life that we never wanted or expected to happen with us. Still we should let the life follow its own pace not because we can't go back and make a change to it; but because of the consequences resulting from the past incidents. If you explore life thoroughly, you will discover that there had been a good time in life which was a consequence of some worse incidents happened in your life. So, I say we should enjoy our life whatever it is...

I just want to be back at age 17 and restart my life from there. I want to be more courageous in voicing my opinion of where I want to study and what I want to study in front of my parent who so far decide on where I should go and what should I do. Anyway, at present, I not living with my parent and doing what I wanted without the related certifications. That's why, if granted a second chance to be back in time, I just simply will ask to be at the time when I was still 17. The time when all the changes started in my life.

if God will give me a second chance to change something in my life, I will say that it will be my career path. It's not that I am someone who is never contented with whatever is given to me, it's just that I think my profession will be more useful and fruitful if I have worked in a hospital and try for my chance overseas like my friends did, I think I can help my parents more if I have not chosen the job that I have now. it's also related to my profession, but I think I can be more successful if I went the other way, but since I am not confident enough now to leave this job, though its not satisfying, its also beneficial, so i cant risk losing it as of now, esp we are having a world crisis

IF I was given a second chance at life, I would most definitely have gone into the medical field right after high school instead of waiting so late in life. There are a lot of other things I would have changed, but I believe that by changing that one area of my life would have changed my entire life completely. Maybe even for the better as far as a lot of things go.

I will handle my relationships with my family members differently. I have been too sensitive and always displayed my hurt feelings. This I shall curb and learn to tolerate more.

I always told to myself that if ever I will be given a chance to fix my past,It will be on the pains and heartaches that I experience in my life.I want to fix the unsuccessful married life that I had and make it a successful one,but we know we can't do that, because in life there is no rewinds. All does are just some lessons to learn.Anyway we can make it more much better this time,it's a choice.

Probably the one thing that I would change is my major in college. Get in a field where I know there is jobs and still are today.

I do not have much regrets in my life as I hope I have learned a great deal by all my experiences. One thing though I would like to change is to have trusted God more than I have, as there are reasons for everything we just do not grasp those reason during trying times. Although there is always a reason for everything we tend to blame instead of analysising the purpose. Have a great day!

Honestly, I wouldn't change anything about my life. Yes, I have made mistakes and done things I shouldn't have and sometimes want to regret, but without all that stuff, where would I be today? You never know what things in your life happened for what reason and if those things got you exactly where you are today. I suppose if you aren't happy with your life as of current, you would maybe want to change some things, but I have a wonderful husband and son and I love my life. We have struggles, as all marriages and families do, but we always get through them and I couldn't picture myself fighting with anyone else. =)
