Being an omniscient god unables him to do so... Therefore he is not all powerful.

An Omniscient God has complete, and unlimited Knowledge, so why would He need to change His Mind? Notice that He hasn't made a mistake in a Very long time! People change their minds, because nothing stays the same (except Change!) God being All-Knowing would never need to change his mind, so its not that He cannot, its That He has never needed to!

So what is god's purpose? He doesn't have to do anything then,he just stands around watching humans destroy the world. What's the point in praying??? And god has changed his mind. As the bible tells, he created humans, then he saw that they were not behaving acoordingly.. So he went "Oh boy, I messed up, well I'll just wipe them all out with a big flood and start over, maybe this time I'll get it right." This also means that before he created the earth, humans, animals and everything else.. He knew that most people would burn in the hell created specially for us! Why would he do such a thing? Punish his own creations with eternal fire! That's just plain mean.

Its obvious that you are getting your information from the bible! You must remember that the bible was written by University Graduates of the same Level as today's Second Year Elementary school students. At this time it was thought the world was Flat, and there was great fear of falling over the edge.) The Bible is a collection of Myths, gently mixed with a few Truths in an attempt make it credible. The story's about Heaven and Hell, were added much later to confuse, confound, and convince Christians to give, tithe, and contribute to the greedy coffers of the Christian Church. For your own peace of mind, take everything in the Bible with a grain of salt!

Just as I was saying! Anything described as 'salt' is valuable The Romans paid their soldiers an allowance of salt called a salarium - hence our word salary, and the phrases 'worth one's salt' and 'true to one's salt. And if you 'salt a mine', or a book, you add valuable ore or something similar to make potential buyers think that they're getting something worthwhile. Therefore take everything you read in the Bible with a grain of salt, and trust that its been salted! Abraham lived long before Grade 2 level Universities were even thought of, to say nothing of being established. He did what he thought was Right. Who can blame him for his Thankfulness?

Your argument is flawed, to see why, let us examine it more closely. You claim that being all knowing means he is unable to change his mind, presumably because being all knowing he would know what his decision would be in the future and therefore already be of that mind. Furthermore you claim this necessarily entails that he is not omnipotent. But, God being eternal is outside time, therefore to speak of God being in state of mind 'x' at time 't1' and in state 'y' at time 't2' is meaningless. all the best urban

Why do people have to put human attributes on Hashem? He is not human. There are no words in any human language that can even come close to describing Him or His abilities. He is not human therefore He does not have a human mind to change. He encompasses all things, is all things, therefore controls all things. He does not need a human peabrain. Shalom~Adoniah

He doesn't have to. But He can change yours if he wants to (God works in mysterious ways). Maybe He just doesn't want to. lol
