Who has better instincts...men or women

One of the many part time jobs I have is as a private investigator. In this line of work, not only do I rely a lot on pure instinct but I also have clients coming to me saying the just "have a feeling"...usually about a spouse or partner cheating on them. It is mostly women that say this and they are also mostly right. When men come to me, they have some sort of reasoning behind why they think their partner is cheating but they are only right about 25% of the time. Do you think women just have better instincts or just listen to them more?

I think that when we're younger, our instincts are good, we say what feels true to us, darn the consequences. We get it "civilized" out of us or shamed out of us or whatever. We are taught to act and think and believe a certain way, and not how our feelings tell us to act and so on. So, I don't think it's necessarily a gender thing that women have better instincts than men, so much as that women don't have it beaten out of them.

I agree with that. Even I too have heard and experienced about women being more accurate in their instincts. The biggest and most evident example is my mom- who surprises me very often by telling stuff which usually turns out to be right.

In my experience, women have better instincts than men. I have girl friends that just feel it when their boyfriends cheat on them. And usually they do cheat. My mother also is a good example. She knows when I have a problem and comes up and talks to me.
Maybe its because women are just more sensitive than men.

Generalizations. There are always exceptions. But as a rule? I strongly suspect most males do cheat, and they only enter monogamous relationships due to pressure from society or family. Therefore of course, most of your female clients will be correct.
Wouldn't it be something if it was found that the females are just more discreet and careful about their affairs? They do seem to be smarter (generalizing again, of course) in social matters than most of us common males.
Generally speaking, of course.

That's an interesting part time job you have. I think in this line it pays too to rely purely and to listen to your heart and instincts.
I think both men and women have equally good instincts. I would think that when one is victimized and being cheated upon that's when one's instincts are telling the truth. It's actually timing. We need to catch on these timings when pure instincts would lead us to the truth.
