I know it's not just me. But I don't know if everyone gets hungrier when it's raining. Do you get easily hungry when it is raining? What do you think is the reason for it?

When it rains it is cold out side also. So the heat of the body goes out of your body. so your body has a new task to produce more heat in your body. hear helps your digestic sistem. During digestion heat is also produced. if your food in stmock is digested quickly it starts to be hungry.

I feel we eat more in the rainy season and winter as there is less perspiring. When we sweat we drink fluids to replenish the loss of fluids. This i feel fills our stomach. In the rainy season and winter we require food to keep ourselves warm. Also since there is no intake of liquids there is more space to fill the stomach. We get tired quickly in extreme heat whereas in rainy and winter seasons we don't tire easily and can put in more work which again requires food for energy.

I believe its not just the lack of fluids, maybe there is by chance the possibility that we eat many food at rainy times because of the boredom? I know that when people get bored they eat more to pass the time...

I did not know people get hungrier when it rains? Is this a scientific fact or just speculation? Either way I never really noticed, I don't think I get hungrier when it rains. I like to mostly just enjoy the cool weather. Though rain during the summer here in Arizona means it is just cooler, but not exactly cool. like 85 degrees with humidity instead of 100+ degrees plain hot.But fall and winter, I cannot wait for them to get here again. Such cold breezes flow through here! I open up the house during the winter. I never complain of being cold, we never use the heater. I enjoy it while it lasts because I know how hot it gets in the summer. And really it starts to get hot in the spring here. So its like fall, winter, summer summer. lol.

I do encounter the same thing. My guess is that when it is cold, the body will burn more food to keep the body warm. As a result, we will feel hungrier during such temperature.

Weeell... I do eat more (and more fattening food) in winter or autumn that in summer, but today, for example, had been a rainy day, and I didn't experience any extraordinary hunger. Anyway feeling like eating more on cold days might be because our body needs more energy to keep warm than.. but that may as well be total bullsh't, I'm no good in biology.

The reason we get hungry when it rains (or snows), is because precipitation creates Negative IONs in the air. Negative IONs have a variety of different effects on us including: increase in circulation and metabolism. Decrease in Serotonin levels. So the combination of increased metabolism and reduced Serotonin levels can increase appetite. Carbs and sugars can help in Serotonin production. Negative IONs will also increase libido functions. Research suggests that 70% of the population has a favorable response to Negative IONs. 30% of the population has a favorable response to Positive IONs. Electronics generally produce a lot of Positive IONs. So if you are one of these 70% of the people that need Negative IONs, you may find that you are getting a higher than normal Positive IONs exposure as todays lifesysle includes a lot of electronics. Therefore, your body has become used to an excess of Positive IONs and reacts drastically to Negative IONs. Although the reaction may be drastic, it is still good for you.

It does not happen to my me, the rain does not give me hunger, but the motive of which this happens to many people, can be that for having to be enclosed while it rains, one is started boring and then there is given he for eating, thereabouts there are given other persons for sleeping.
