I accept my religion. I don't know why. but accepting my religion gives me much peace in my mind. With this peace of mind i am able to lead peaceful life. That doesn't mean problenless life. This peace of mind gives me strength to bear my problems. I am able to handle a good social intraction. i am able to cope with others.

When you sign a contract, don't you examine it carefully? It applies to religion too. No deal for something illogical.

I am not well educated; I am not a sciencest; I am not a thoughtfu person; I am a simple humble human being. i have only time to live my day to day life. i have no time to do this sort of investigation. Whenever i go to the doctor to heal my sickness or deciese I never try to undrestand the whole treatment method. If i can understand i can be also a doctor. i am not intelegent enough to be adoctor.
And by the way i am a wonderful daughter for my parents; wonderful wife for my husband: wonderful mother for my children; I am having a very good contact with others. Totaly I am leading peacefull life. All can't be Socratice or Aristotil. I don't like to be one of them. I like to be what I am. My religion helps me a lot like my parents and teachersto lead this wonderful life. Why should I waste my golden time in doing investigatios like this.

Dear johnpillai, dont misunderstand me. This is just to open our awareness that in life there should be check and recheck for our own sake. Even doctor can tell lie when you suffer minor desease.

hi lotterylover
how encouraging, lets hope you continue having such success in your meetings so as to challenge you to re organise your meetings.. what a blessing...
and disagree that re organising = restlessness.. it means busy ... not restless
blessings
best wishes

As a consequence, life is not organized. Face it, you are restless in life.

man2sting The one thing I am not is a fantatic in anything except maybe internet but no thats more of a harmless addiction. I do believe in God and consider myself a Christian but do not push my own religious beliefs on any one. Fantaticism is being out of control and I for one do not think this is embracing religion, just embracing idiocy.I just try to be the best person I know how to be and let others practice their religion in any way they wish. Just do not preach to me.My beliefs are personal and not'to be opened to yours or anyone else's mockery or laughter or what have you.I do not usually even respond to relgious discussions here as they usually just become bitter angry fights. I dislike confrontations my self.

why critical.,??? what is your objective in this ????
if you actually mean questioning then., always, and organised follwings of any belief system is not a dangerous pas time or a threat to others, as most welcome those who do not have the same beliefs... many communities are happy and helpful and serve and hold out friendship to those who do not follow the same ways...
to imply belonging to organised meetings in any belif system is a threat to others is verging on the fanatical ..dont you think...
are you so anti those who find peace in what ever title they have in worship of their God... are you an anti religion fanatic ?
best wishes

Critical means we care. It isnt to discredit our own or other religion. It is, instead, to confirm that what we believe is free from absurdity.

Hatley, sure, ma'am, I won't preach here. I'd rather invite everybody to be critical of his belief, for his own sake.

embracing a religion does not lead to being a fanatic...
the way fanatic reads is to become an extremist who will go to any lengths to prove his views.....
Deeply held views, concerning faith in any religion in my experience gives an individual peace contentment and other positive affects on the individual/family/friends/community.....
so no,
although have my own deeply embracing views on my own faith, hold respect for others, their beliefs, and there views., not imposing my own on them, and hoping that they will show the same respect... even those who have no beliefs.... being peaceful and loving towards all, is a part of my belief system., however, as a human being do get angry at times at differing situations, but that does not make me a fanatic in any way..
I get angry the most at injustice and lack of compassion and the taking away of the rights of others, in any situation.. not just religion
best wishes

I agree with you. However, when one believes in something but it is absurd, it might have nothing to do with moral. Rather, it is a serious problem between one and God.
