NewZeland cricketer Brendon Mcullum says that he want to bat as opener for newzeland in test cricket. he pointed sehwag and dilshan as example to the board. he pointed that viru, hayden and dilshan are successfull batsman even though they are explosive, and as he is currently fielding in test(not keeping), he have given the NZ national selector new option as opener. will he be successfull as an opener if he got the chance to open for NZ? will he be a successfull as sehwag, viru or hayden?

brendon mcullum is an explosive batsman, but as test opener? but he should be given chance, he may score in that position, but matching sehwag is impossible.

ya he may flourish as opener but not good as viru.

He is an excellent person and very best opener ever i seen in New Zealand team. Why because he can give a good score to the team and while in chase he is very fast and furious and his batting style is very beautiful.

I think it is a good move for New Zealand. I think the biggest problem for NZ is the fact that they have such a small pool of players to select from. So even if someone is not playing well, they simply have to pick them to play for the country. I think McCullum opening the innings would allow them to look to play another all-rounder or a middle order batsmen. But the other side is that he has said that the will not keep which means now NZ will have to accommodate another Keeper in the team. Cheers! Ram

buthe is not keeping in test, so there another keeper, so mcullum is coming as a pure batsman, i think thats not nice.
