How many of you guys have experienced this? i've always been fascinated about these dreams where you're also dreaming in that dream and when I talked about this with my bandmates we'd all experienced it at one point in our lives the thing the majority of us find irksome is when the dream turns into a nightmare and you really can't wake up properly scary

Yeah, I've one of those a few times. I find them fascinating. I call them nested dreams. Can't remember them now, though.

I've been in that situation as well that I am having problem or trouble in waking up and having difficulty in breathing. I keep on shouting but no one could ever heard me. I can see myself sleeping and I can feel that I am also dreaming in that sleeping. Duuhhhh I dont know but I still managed after a long struggle.

I have experienced that and yes, it sometimes looks like a nightmare. There was this time, I dreamed that I woke up because my bf arrived from work. Unluckily, I know I was not awake, but it feels like am already awake. Then on that dream, I wake up again, but am not actually awake....On the third time, that was the time I get totally awaken by a sound. Guess, what? It came true. Just after I got woke up from bed, my bf was knocking at the door. He noticed that I was like exhausted or something. Yes, I felt exhausted after that dream within a dream.

hi chipesterkhan oh how I hate this one dream I have had a number of times usually when I have been stressed out , I am in a cafe with my women friends. they do not want to leave when I do so we agree 'to meet at JC Penny's store. I seem to know where it is but when I start to find it, all the streets are very strange to me. I do not recognize anything. It is as if I am now in a strange city. Then I start walking and run out of the downtown area into an industrial area. I find myself stumbling over broken cement and piles of gravel. all over are big machines smoothing down dirt and others digging up ditches. Finally I spy a building and an office. I walk into this construction office. I ask permission to use their phone and call for a taxi then invariably I wake up confused but glad to know it was all just a dream. I am not lost. The feeling I had in the dream was fear and frustration as I do not know where I am nor why everything has suddenly changed.

Hi, chipesterkhan. I don't think that I have ever had a dream that was like this at all. This seems very scary. I hope that I don't dream about anything scary that is like this.

I have also experienced "waking up" inside a dream. I have forgotten what my "2nd level dream" was (to coin a term from the movie Inception), but I remember waking up and thinking I was already awake, when in fact I was still dreaming. I don't think something bad was happening though. In all the bad dreams I had, I was able to "really" wake up.
