In order to faciliate discussions on various aspects of Self-Defense, I'll be posing situational questions for us to discuss as a group. Even if you have no formal training, please feel free to respond. This question is on accuracy drills. What sorts of drills do you practice in order to improve your accuracy techniques? I am not referring to the stereo-typical "hit the padded target" drills used in most dojo's.

Some of the drills we've done on lack of a sense would be the foremost on my mind. I recall the time that due to an accident I was without sight in one eye for the day, and we still had practice. Though we were only working on perception of hits, it was valuable training because if something were to occur in a street fight, I would not be able to excuse myself, I would have to fight with one less sense. I think doing these sorts of things with the use of blindfolds, tying one hand behind the back, and so forth help to improve accuracy. Namaste-Anora
