I guess with their style and intensity, i think they be accepted and would hit even in the 20th Century and even now! How about you what do you think?

freddie mercury and queen would be just as popular now as they were then, freddie was not only a great singer he was also a fantastic showman. queens music was and still is timeless, if not ahead of their time. films, musicals and famous acts still cover and use their music even now. RIP freddie.

                            Hi everyone-
Am sorry but I feel that queen would have been a dud in the 21st century. Now-I am a queen & FM fan. But, popular song types keep on changing with time and say Queen releases" Bohemian Rhapsody" now- a few people may like it but it won't sell. And that is best known by QUEEN themselves. If you go through their songs chronologically, i think that the song type becomes different.
Play both "Radio Gaga" and ' The invisible man' and then ask someone to identify the bands. I think that they will mention different brands every time.
The reverse is alo true incidentally-if someone like Lady gaga started singing in the 80's, she would have been booed of the stage.

Queen was quite a versatile band. The created a range of songs, which I think shows how they adapted with time & people's taste. If they were formed in 21st century, I think they would've created songs fit for the current time. But I also fear that they would've carried away & take help of that sh**ty auto-tune, rather than keeping faith in originality.

Hello Juliusports. Queen did form in the 20th Century so I think you mean the 21st. I was never a big fan of Queen but they were really good at what they did and they had a unique style so I think they would be successful if they started out now :)

You're welcome. Yes I think if they started now as they did in the 1970s they'd be just as successful :)

I am almost sure that they would hit big. The songs they made it big with are widely known and generally liked/tolerated/ENJOYED. Still used in soundtracks, and still gets stuck in your head and hummed late at night when sleep won't come. Haha...Queen is one of my favorites.
