I like good comments for the topic. I rate good comments by other people, do not necessarily need to be a friend.I haven't rated anybody negative but a good comments always deserve a positive rating. I wonder how many of my comments get positive rating as it is not possible to know. I don't request my friend to do. I usually don't care about the rating but yes I do know that I need to improve on it. Give positive rating only if you think that the comments deserves the rating.

I generally try to rate discussions that are really interesting and informative. I really never bother who is my friend and who is not. A good discussion always deserve a positive rating from me. I usually don't rate negative as I really never find any topic to rate as negative. I don't think we should rate only to show courtesy, rather it shows how dedicated we are and involved with the topic. It's just the voice towards our own interest, choice, liking and disliking. Everybody should try to rate discussions.
