or watch a movie at home? You know, when you go out and watch movie in the mall, you will spend for your transportation, food, movie tickets and perhaps see something you want to buy (since your in the mall) 
But, if you watch a movie at home, you don't spend as much, no transportation, you can prepare a snack that you want, no tickets and you can pause the movie if you want to go to the rest room, lol. Of course it's still different when you watch in a theater, unless you have a home cinema. So would you rather watch a movie in the mall or at home?

i liked watching movies at home cause it's much relaxing and of course,less expenses rather than watching in malls which there are lots of temptations what to eat while watching or if you have someone else with,it's much expensive rather than at home you can eat those cooked ones and all you have to spend is the amount of dvd or the food that you eat which is more affordable and cheaper than like of malls itself,right?
nowadays,i know that movies in malls are like hundred plus per person.if you buy some original dvd's you can watch it at home instead having less expenses.
especially nowadays,life is very difficult and don't waste money just as because of movies.you can watch,but you have less money for food,is that right?

.. i don't download movies from the internet. I have LAN connection which stands for Local Network Area where many computers are linked together and we share movies and many things on the network, well the connection i am using is quite large with around 700 members on an average, so it's easy to download movies from the network where we share our files.
I would have been glad to let you know what you wanted to if i used to download from the internet, well sometimes i use rapidshare to download movies from the internet. ever tried that ? or you could probably use torrents which is better if you don't have premium accounts to upload sites like rapidshare amd megaupload, but i have never used it. Finding movies on the internet to download from, isn't an easy job. Hope you find some means.

I prefer watching movies on my computer, i have loads of them, plus a lot more on the LAN i can download and watch from. 
But.. sometimes on weekends we friends gather and go to a theater to enjoy ourselves.. Seeing a movie on the big screen is really fun plus there are many people around who might catch our eyes.

yes,it's nice to have friends around when watching movies,but still i want to be practical and better watch at home with friends,much more enjoyable than in malls.

after my wife gave birth we had stop watching movies at the mall or at the movie theaters. so with that we buy the movies we want to watch or we wait for the dvd copies that friends from abroad buys for us. but it is still a big difference when you watch it at home and you watch it at the movie theaters. but now that he is four me and my wife can watch the movie we like. we bring our son when we watch movies that are for kids and we leave him with my sister when we are out for a date. when we both enjoy that movie we wait for the dvd and buy so we can still watch it at home.

Well, Santosh,
what you just said is really so enticing, but watching a movie in a mall has its own charm.
True at home, you can watch the movie in leisure, but does it have the same effect of watching a movie on the big screen....?.
NO.
You get engrossed in the dark surroundings in the mall. You then, will not feel the need for that extra snack you would have at home.... you will be so engrossed.
Watching the movie in such a fashion will give you a real break.
At home, you can always be forced back to the REAL world by any kind of disturbance ranging from power cut., neighbour's peeking, ....anything and everything.
Going to a movie in a mall, ensures that I take a REAL break.,
I would rather go to a movie in a mall even if it is once or twice in a year.

Great Question! If it would have been years earlier, I would have definitely chosen watching it in the mall. But at 35(quite an old age for being a movie lover) I think I would have to decide what movie is in question. I like comedies and so I can think of visiting a mall if it is a good one. Oh yes, some movies are for bigger screens and if it one of them I might consider the mall. Otherwise I have my sweet PC and its Monitor to enjoy.
btw, the last one that I watched at the mall was 2010 coz it promised some spectacular effects in the previews... but was quite disappointed.

My favorite is actually going to the theater to see a movie. It's the experience and the atmosphere. And movie popcorn is so much better than what you can make at home, even though it is just poured from a bag. I'm not sure why, but it is just so much better than sitting at home watching a movie. You do pay a lot to see this one movie, especially if you're going with your significant other. My husband and I pay $20 for tickets and $12 on the popcorn and drinks. It's outrageous, but it makes for a nice date :)

I prefer to watch a movie at home. Even more so since my husband and I splurged and bought a brand new LED TV the other day! Watching movies at home is better than ever now, because now we have one helluva screen to watch it on!

For the most part, I would definitely have to say that I would rather watch a movie in the comfort of my own home because everything at home is convenient and in the long run it is far less expensive. However, I also do like to go to the movie theater with friends every now and then. The thing that I like about going to the movie theater is the impact of the sound and I also love eating the popcorn that comes from the movie theater.

I'm not much fan of movies. So it's convenient for me to go to movie houses /cinemas to watch blockbuster movies. We go out to the movies once in two months. Not much in expenses. The nearest mall is 20mins away from my house. ^_^

i often watch movies at home though it maybe a bit different when you're at the theater but i am comfortable enough watching at home from my pc. why? i dont just watch because its popular or whatever, i only watch if it suits my interest and what makes it very nice to cover as a prospect featured story to critique. after watching, i then start writing a review if what makes it interesting or not, what possibly would people react to the scene, what would be peoples comments, etc.

for me, i would love to watch movies in the mall. Even if i will spend money for my transportation, food and all those, but the happiness and enjoyment i felt for that certain moment is incomparable and i can say it is worth it. It is always nice when you get to be with your family and friends watching movies at the mall. you can bond and spend quality time with them. Unlike watching movies at home, some of them may just do some other stuff and get distracted with some other things. One thing, it is always nice to watch movies on a big screen rather than watching it over your tv component.

the truth is, i love watching movies at mall since this is the time when i can spend quality time with my friends, though it is expensive in terms of movie tickets, snacks and even transportation. but i'd rather spend money just to be with my friends. socialization is an important aspect in one's life

I don't go a lot to the cinema in the mall (some of the reasons you have said) but some times is better like soon when the new resident evil 3D comes i'd love to watch it int the mall cuz it will be awesome. But if you want to watch a movie in privet (with you girl or just a few friend) i best at home with a big big box of popcorn :d ;]

I always watched movie at home because it cost nothing and I have alot of movie file in my store, we have a video rental business so it's easy for me if I want to watched latest movie release. However, I love to watched movie in the theater because of the big screen but if you count the cost is not favorable. Better to watched only movie in the theater if it is a box office movie the amount you spend is worth.

Hi,if I happen to see a movie in the mall,maybe I will stop to watch for a few miniutes.Most of times I prefer watching movies at home.And I can have snacks or
some drinks when I watch it.Also I can watch movies in a sofa or sit on my bed.It is really comfortable and I enjoy it!

I prefer watching movies in the mall.It really is a different watching it on the big screen.Paying for my transportation and buying food is just worth the experience.Watching at home is easy, I can do that everyday but going inside the theater is a such an event for me.

The mall because I do nearly everything else in my house so a change is nice so I don't get bored. I don't mind it costing more ofcourse it'll cost more I'm not fussed because at the end of the day it costs to have fun. I don't go often so I prefere not being at my house to watch a movie, anywhere but my house!

If the movie is a big one like Harry Potter or Iron Man e.t.c.I would prefer to go watch it at the cinema/mall with a group of friends but if its a small time movie i would rather watch it at home.

I would rather watch movie at home because it will be relaxing for me, no need to walk or wear anything nice. I can be naked or just wearing a boxer shorts when I'm watching movie at home. I can fast forwad the movie if the scene is not cool for me and i can go back to a scene if it's not clear for me. Watching movies at home is the best because you can do anything that you want while you are watching. Think about it!
