I've noticed a trend recently, especially this summer. It's 3D movies. I just don't understand the fascination, since its been around for like forever. I think its to attract kids to theatres, considering most movies arn't that great. With the exception of toy story 3, i think its to enhance the experience of a really bad movie. I keep seeing the trailer for yet another installment of step up in 3D, and to be honest, it dosn't look that impressive. If you pay attention to movie trailers you'll see what i mean.

I don't think the 3D movies were worth seeing in 3D. You can't even keep the glasses and it's not worth paying extra for it in my opinion.

hollywood ran out of ideas so they brought back an old fad that kinda failed, hoping this time it'd work great...I doubt it....

In my mind, it's just another money making ploy. They just want you to pay extra money when you go to the movie theater. That's all it is, just another way for them to get your money.

I think 3D is not for every movie but I think you have a point with how they use it to enhance a already bad movie to boost the number of people who actually bother to go see it. Honestly, with all the new HD technology and all that to enhance a movie's picture, I don't even feel like I need to see the movie in 3-D. I think when the movie looks so real you feel like its right there in your living room then 3-D is just a parlor trick. Being able to see the movie is more important to me and in my opinion make any movie more attractive.
