Shirley Temple movies

I remember when Iwas a kid they showed those black and white Shirley Temples. They came on the tv like I think saurday or sunday afternoons. I don't remeber alot of the movies but I do remember all of Shirley's dancing! She was so young and talented! Now they are offering them all of Shirley Temple's classic movies on dvd. It brought back some memories!

I do remember those movies quite well. The good ship lollypop and Heidi are two that come to mind right off. Mostly when I think of Shirley Temple, I think of how my mom desperatly tried to make me look like her. My mom was a hair dresser. Unfortunately, I was blessed with straight blonde hair unlike Shirley Temples beautiful locks. I was 5 and every single night my mom would put my hair in little pincurls which she expected me not to mess up in my sleep and each morning out came the dippity-do and hairspray! She even got frustrated at the routine and at times would give me perms.

I don't remember the movies that well except Heidi. My mom wasn't the one who loved to mess with my hair it was my sister! I remember her putting curliers in my hair and having to sleep on them! Not fun! I think my sister used dippity-do. I do remenber that darn hairspray! I would go to school like that and felt embaressed! I'd be the only one with my hair done up! Thank goodness my sister gave up that once she got married!

She was very cute, and I enjoyed her movies, but I'm glad that she wasn't able to play Dorothy in Wizard of Oz...

Shirley Temple was cute and I'm pretty sure I liked her movies. I don't remember alot of them except some of Heidi. I am glad she didn't play Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz either!

I always loved The Bluebird of Happiness when I was little. I found it on DVD again recently and it still makes me smile. I think in the future I might invest in a few more from my childhood.

I only remember Heidi. I should go and rent some of Shirley Temple's and refresh my memory!

I remember having my daughter watch her she just love her when she was young we use to watch Aunnie my daughter use ask me why she had her hair done that way she thought it was weer.But then my mom did my hair like that and I hated it to ...if I had her type of money ok.

I think Shirley Temple's mom did you curls! I heard she tired she curls so tight that is why they looked the way they did! I even heard Shirley hated her curls! I probaly would too!

I don't think I've ever seen them, but I know that my grandpa used to love them! And her in general, he always said she was so cute and talented.

Shirly Temple was cute and very talanted as a kid! I think that is one reason people loved her much! Not many children nowadays are as talented as she was at that age!

I remember them too. I never really cared for Shirley Temple when I was young, but my mother adored her, and she always watched Shirley Temple movies when they were on TV. Now that I am older I appreciate her more. She really was a darling, talented little girl, and probably one of the few childhood stars who did not have her fame go to her head and ruin her life.

That is for sure! Shirley Temple did not let her fame go to her head and ruin her life! Of course this has happen to alot of stars! She is still around and I think,as an adult,she was an ambassador to Ghana at one time! A tidbit I remembered!

I remember them too. I loved to watch them. I remember watching Little Miss Broadway and Heidi. She was great. Some of them had some sad stories to tell. Thanks for reminding me of them.

Shirley Temple movies I don't remember much of them. I probaly have not seen one in over 30 years! I do remember Heidi! That is the only one I can really remember! Oh well! If I want to watch them again I can!

I know what your talking about even though I wasn't even born when they came out. What reminds me of Shirley temple is my little sister's hair. She has really tight curls in her hair just like her. It's so funny and we tease her about it sometimes. So random.lol
