we all know, that trust, in it's most form is a reciprocation of looking out for each other.. if we consider the definition of trust, it is actually the outcome of overcoming selfishness by replacing the need to satisfy ourselves , with the need to satisfy others.. that is why in order to gain trust, you have to earn it, and there is no short-cut to gain one's trust.. so, would you believe that the best proof of love is trust?

Hi arjheicyrie, for me the best proof of love is "acceptance". Trust is just one factor as you can still love a person without trusting him/her. Just my opinion.. ^_^

Yes I would in most cases because trust is hard to earn. If you get to that point of total trust, then I think love can really be achieved. I mean relationships fall apart fast without trust, so I would suppose to opposite happens when trust is in the equation.

Yes, it is true that trust is hard to earn.. And I agree with you that love can be achieve when both learn how to trust each other completely..

@ Suke002 I sort of disagree, I think it is much easier to gain trust, whereas I feel it is much harder to regain trust. Let us face it we as caring and loving human beings immediately instill trust in people we are apt to believe are trustworthy, whereas we are blinded by the little things that are clearly dis trustful. Yes as I posted before, one trust is lost well there is nothing in the equation left. No matter how much we want to believe there is there isn't.

Definitely. :) I can say that TRUST is even the foundation of love. So once foundation stumbled, it will be a hard time building it again. My boyfriend and I won't last this long (we're 19months together now and counting :) ) if we don't trust each other. *fly and be merry* :)

It could be. I think you have a point there cause we really cant say that we love the person if we dont trust them, right? Trust is a very essential part of loving someone. Its very impossible to love that person unless you know that you can actually trust them.

I agree with you that it is impossible to love a person that you can't trust.. I just hope that people would learn to understand the true essence of trust in every relationship..

In any relationship, trust is very important. But it doesn't necessarily mean that if you don't trust a person, you can't love him or her anymore. So it really depends on the situation. Because there are times that there are unavoidable circumnstances that trust will be broken, but the relationship still cotinues because you still both love each other. Trust is like a glass, once broken, you cannot put it back together to its original look and strength. Even if you try to bring back the trust to a person, there is already a damage that is irrepairable. That's why if someone trusts you, you really have to take care of that trust given, because it is really hard to earn.

Yes there is no doubt about it as once u suspect ur partner ur love is gone and it can never come back again with the same zeal and enthusiasm and there will always be aline of doubt for each other as liing under one roof can not be called marriage or love

Hi arjheicyrie, personally I believe that "trust" is just one factor, as you can still love a person without trusting him/her, though it is easier to love a person if there trust exists. For me the best proof of love is "acceptance". ^_^
