This for those who are wanting to buy a laptop that is almost powerful as your desktop. As you may know that Desktop power is nothing to compare to a laptop and also most laptop cannot be used in high graphic games that requires direct X10 sometimes it hang or shutdown on it's own. But Dell studio 15 have changes this think, Dell give us the complete home theater in a form of laptop able to match the power of your desktop. Today I just read the news about the latest gadget the ACER ASPIRE have made a high end multimedia home theater laptop with intel core i7 processor and 18 gb of DDR3 memory plus 500gb of HDD and 1 gb of ATI 5850 DDR5 graphic cards. Do you think this laptop can bring you satisfaction?

To tell you frankly both are junk computer name! Dell had a reputation of low quality computer and Acer is a no name brand. Much better to go HP , Toshiba , Apple and Japanese computer. Sorry to says that but really they are not worth to buy. Even they improved their high end computer still I will not buy those computer.

I can see it why you don't have good ratings here! Then share the link that you are mentioning that DELL has a poor review, if you can share then all what you saying is just a part of your point of view with out a proof. Check cnet and see those reviews I don't think there is be more credible than cnet or you can also check yugatech it a blog about a review of latest gadget.

Yeah it definitely can bring me very goo satisfaction. And what a memory capacity. Can we actually use all of that 18g RAM.. Hehehe and I love that it has 1 GB vid card. This Laptop is a monster. But what about it's keyboard, can it handle the beating? hehehehe. Or we have to buy USB keyboards to break instead. But nice Laptop. I hope it can literally handle the heat of i7. This needs very good ventilation. and very good heat sink. I wish I can review this laptop. Hehehe

Did you happen to have this laptop with you? How about the hand comfort? Will the heat stay away from the keys when your typing? If it does, this will be so awesome/. What kind of cooling system this has in package?

I'm not familiar with the cooling system their used I'll just hope they used coolermaster technology. About the heat you would not feel the heat on the keypad also the keypad are very comfortable to use it is like the sony vaio keypad and very durable and spill free.

the casing is made of stainless steel cover the keyboard are oil spill and the surface is dent free. The whole casing is like a big heatsink that is why they designed it that way because they already knew all those heating problem with i7 processor it also has two ventilation fan for processor and one for the video card.

I should hope the Dell Studio 15 is good as I've just paid out for one! Hasn't arrived yet so I can't comment on that, but it should work out more powerful then my current desktop (which is terrible!) so gaming will be a piece of cake. Hope it's all in good working condition ;)

In my own experience Dell studio 15 is one of the most durable laptop that you can buy and that is no doubt my friend. This discussion is only intended to compare which is better but both of this two laptop are the best laptop in the market they have the highest ratings and reviews so far.

my desktop computer may be old but it s till outperforms most any silly laptop on the market plus it can be repaired without having to always take it to the shop. I wou ld not have any laptop if it was given to' me free, a samsung desktop maybe but not a laptop.

I've used a gateway laptop but I've been told that the acer aspire are just as good as the dell. i think it just depends on what you want to pay for what you want to use it for.

Exactly that is the right word to say. For some they need laptop only for surfing but someone like me who used to be a graphic artist and do some major video editing in sonny vegas and adobe after effect I may need the most expensive computer that could run all my multimedia projects the way I wanted to.

Those laptops are undeniably good but before I could make a decision I still need to see if the price is right, right?

That's twice the price of an iPAD, better settle for a netbook:)

That's too much for a laptop. I would opt to buy a desktop with a mini cpu and with almost the same specs. dystopia- you really cannot do some editing stuffs in netbooks because they are not powerful enough and iPad is the same as well. Netbooks are for browsing/surfing the net and doing some simple stuffs that doesn't require too much resources

Those Dell laptops ranges around $1200 while the acers s around $1500. Too much for a laptop huh? but if you work as a video editing or photo editing this are the best laptop for your money.

Hi dear, I checked the configuration and the laptop details of these new arrivals. If will be a fantastic machine and if we could wait for some time, I think we can go for it within our budget. Also, we cannot always go for new arrivals if we already having notebooks for our purpose. The Acer look also nice. Regards, Thank-s

I believe that with the time the traditional computers are going to be disappearing and being going to remain the notebook and netbook, mas commodes, they occupy zero I spread, and you can take them to any side. Not which will be the best brand, but the better thing is that it finds competition like that each one can choose with which to remain and this way the prices can be relatively mas reasonable for the middle class.
