People who are short may think that they will be looking so shorter than others and some/many of the short people will not stand near to the tall ones, as they feel shy. To recover this, most of the shortest people started wearing the high heeled shoes. Now, they don't feel shy in standing with the tall people as they have a temperory height with them as heels.. What do you think about these high heeled shoes?

I love high heel shoes and boots. I think that not only to they help by providing some with confidence, who may be short in height. Therefore able to stand near a taller person and feel less shy. I think that high heels as a whole, accent a woman's legs nicely. I love the look of my whole body in heels. My posture forms into nice easy on the eyes lines. My legs look great in them. I think this is because when one wears heels, they are more on their toes, so essentially the calf muscles are more flexed, as are the thighs. Walking in heels is much more graceful than say a pair of track shoes. Lastly, there are some really nice shoes coming out on the market. The high heel fashions are becoming much more extraordinary, unique and interesting. I would love to own at least one of each pair.

Oh sorry for this PS: but I failed to also mention that I am a fairly decent height to begin with. At 5'7" when I put on a pair of heels, I can be in the 6' region. There have been times where I have felt uncomfortable as I felt too tall, in heels. I find stay within a 4" heel is often most appropriate for myself, although even then there are times I feel slightly too tall. I never shop for heels that are less than 4" otherwise I just go for flats. As one other responder mentioned, they are much more comfortable. Although I have worn heels for sometime, I can even run in them, no problem. Lol.

To me, they're a pain in the heels. I'm not a lover of high heeled shoes but some occasions just warrant the use of them so there's no escaping. On regular days I prefer the flat ones. It makes walking really easier.

I am satisfied with my height. We are not made of up elastics.Height is nature just I wonder why shorter guys wear high heels which looks very odd, uncomfortable to walk.Increasing height with heels I found that is there first signal that they are short.I saw same guys has broken their legs and I heart the person who wear high heels will suffer from heard diseases.Think and wear.

High heeled shoes looks beautiful and the wearer looks elegant walking on a heeled shoes. But I don't think I feel comfortable in high heels as I prefer to be wearing flat shoes. Now the fashion is mostly flat shoes but high heeled shoes will never go out of fashion.

I think they're bad for your back and bad for your feet. Seriously, some of them can look very attractive, but at what expense? Sometimes I really marvel at the things some people will do because of appearances.

I think they are bad for your feet and cause back problems. My Hubby is short and he does wear higher heels when he dresses to go out in public. I think it's silly but it's not my problem and I never make fun of him. His heart is big enough for me, it doesn't bother me that he is short.

I dont really wear high heels except for special occasions. I dont because one, they're uncomfortable and two I might get off balance. when I got married I did wear high heels when I walked the church aisle but come reception time I changed to flats. one good thing about high heeled shoes though is that it makes your legs so much more sexier.

high heeled shoes is not just for short women but its for everyone, in fact i love igh heeled shoes even if im tall coz whenever i wear it i feel sexy and confident as it enhance the beauty of what you wear together with any kind of dress even jeans. i dont think being short is already an issue nor they can be shy for it if they wear high heeled as all women have the right to wear that shoes coz its for everyone. if you see those then its because they are women and not because they are short though of course it will help to add weight and confidence to them but it can never be an issue.

When I was young I loved high heeled shoes, and not because I was short. I am 5'6", which would be considered average height in the United States, although probably tall in some other countries. They made my legs look shaplier. Now comfort is much more important for me than beauty and I wear flat comfortable shoes. Or on the rare occaisions that I dress up for an important occaision, I wear a very low heeled shoe.

I think we all must be content with what we have in life and how are we in life. It can be in terms of materialist and in terms of physical aspect. However, I see short people putting high heels and walking around. They will be putting the heels so that they won't look short but the heels that they wear makes them look odd. To me it seems that they are not walking on earth but in some space, floating above the ground. I would suggest everyone not to wear high heels even if you are short. Why do we want to be something when we are not. Scientifically it is also proven that people wearing high heels are prone to heart disease, so better not wear that.

i'm only 5 feet 3 inches tall but i don't like wearing high heeled footwear. i don't even like elevated. i want really flat shoes, like almost feeling the ground, flip flops and sneakers. i'm more comfortable with those. they say women who wear high heels are more prone to getting varicose veins.

HAHA! this discussion made me remember something. My friends say I'm tall or my height is nice for a girl. In my opinion, I'm not short nor tall. I am not used to wearing high-heeled shoes.... there was one time that I couldn't find my slippers and me and my friends have an outing. Actually we were just going to the mall. HAHA! Anyway... so I was saying that I couldn't find my slippers or sandals so I tried looking for something that will suit my outfit. I was really in a hurry since I hate making other people wait. I found a wedge which is 2.5 or 3 inches. I had no choice but to wear it... Now when I was with my friends, they told me that I was really tall. I look even taller than my male friends!! haha! While we were walking, they don't walk beside me. Instead, they walk behind or infront of me. My female and male friends say that they don't want to walk bside me ...not because they don't like me but because... they would look short if they walk beside me. People will view them shorter which is mostly embarassing for the males. I got a bit lonely but then there were others who were as tall as me and are willing to walk beside me. haha! Well... that's my story... haha!

You may or may not like to wear high heels. It's your choice. Women who likes to wear high heels have different reasons why they wear one despite the pain and inconvenience of wearing it. Some wears it to augment their height and some wears it to feel sexy. I myself like to wear high heels. But I only choose to wear it on days wear I won't have to do much standing and walking. Every time I wear high heels, I feel sexy. It makes my legs look longer, my buttocks firmer, my abdomen tucked in, gives me a confident walk, makes me feel elegant and makes me taller. And because of that, I feel pretty and I feel good. And those "feel good" feeling is the one that actually makes my day.

Yes sometime its gives artificial height to those who lack height. But mostly high heeled shoes looks attractive and fashionable this days and so most of the person prefer high heels but not because they are short. Comparing to other shoes high heeled look much nice.

Isn't it obvious that you are short and hence you wear high heels?...that's a giveaway...personally I think live the way your creator(whatever) made you...no pretensions...what ever the scene is....to hide what you originally are is not gonna do any good hiding it with some artificial accessories....
