Campbell to join Newcastle

Sol Campbell had rejected the Arsenal offer of contract extension and join Newcastle. While age is catching up with him, Campbell has plenty to offer in terms of experience and based on his previous season performance, he is a very good and reliable backup player. All the best to him at Newcastle.
With his departure, Arsenal is severely short in numbers in the defensive department. This would force Wenger to open his cheque book and make a few more signings, notably Jagielka and Mertesacker.

Yes, so Sol Campbell moves once more from the Emirates to Newcastle. I think that's a blow for Arsenal as they were probably looking to hold onto him for one more year.
But I think from Campbell's side this makes a lot of sense as Newcastle has given him a two year contract, while Arsenal just gave him a year's contract.
