let's say you want to read this book but the bookstores in your place doesn't have it yet. what's better for you? personally, i like audio books better than ebooks. i get tired of staring at the monitor.

I'm the visual learner type. So I understand and can imagine more through reading. I understand perfectly when listening, but it's easier for me if I read the story. So I prefer Ebooks than Audio Books. I also like that I get to pick the own voice of the characters in my imagination.

that's the best part of reading, you get to create your own world! having an audio book can let me do something else. maybe that's why i like audio books than ebooks. thanks!

I'll choose ebooks because I love reading. I have once tried using an audio book before and I'm not that satisfied so I'll still stick with ebooks.

Dang it! Hard choice! I don't really like either of them! I don't like audio books because I can always read faster than whoever they've got reading it for me, and I don't like eBooks because... well that's just a crime against bookishness. Mixing technology with books... who thought it was a good idea to give books the ability to crash like computers? I think I'd choose the audio book though. I kind of REALLY hate eBooks. But I'd much prefer the good old fashioned paper copy that I can read myself.

I'd rather have an audio book. At least while I listen I can still do a lot of things that doesn't require much thinking. I like multitasking the best because I waste little time and audio books give me that.

Perhaps I am technically challenged; I go for audio books and have some on cd...but also like to download from iTunes and put on my iPod. It's not a problem right now as I have enough books lined up to read for the next few months...and I'm still looking for a few.

Hmm, tough question. I used to like to read ebooks and I still do occasionally (read: always I'm logged on) but now I prefer audiobooks. I can listen to them when I cook, clean up, craft, anything really that doesn't require active thinking. When I don't have an audiobook I read the ebook.

I prefer audio books since I like to hear a voice voice can lull me sleep - with my imagination, I could swear that somebody is actually reading me a story. Compared to the e-book which might fry my eyes if I have to reread a part of the story that I didn't understand. E-books are also a hassle for me since I have to lean to the monitor to actually read the words.

I find audio books practical when I need to be entertained but am too busy to actually read. Generally, at the gym I'll listen to an audio book while I work out (have you ever tried to life cycle with a kindle? Not that easy to do!). Also, I spend all day in front of a computer monitor and just can't handle staring at another badly lit device on my way home from work on the train. I actually find that it's a lot harder to get your hands on a free, compete ebook if I want to find something on the go. a lot of the ebook "free" sites just put up a few pages. However, a lot of audio book sites have free books to download, especially works from new writers. http://yourlisten.com has a great selection of audio books read by new writers who are looking to expose their writing. That's always my first port of call.
