Do you have this situation wherein you have to risk your life for someone? Or maybe risking yourself to own the mistakes of others so they wont be the one getting scolded.? HAve you ever done this? There may be consequences to this and it is not always right to think others before yourself. We must first love our self before we can truly love others. Right?

I believe it was Martin Luther King Jr. that once said, "A man who is not willing to die for something is not fit to live!". I believe we all have something or someone we're willing to die for. It's interesting that you brought up that we have to love ourselves before we can truly love others. I believe the decision of risking my own life for others comes from that, loving myself. I believe that I have to be confident & have enough love for myself, & conviction to stand by my beliefs.

meeksilent, Taking risk for someone's life or risking myself of my own mistakes these are all a part of life, it will comes and goes each every one's life nobody can escape in this situation, hence whatever happens in our life we should accept it as it is, but not blame or scold others it is not fare also, as you mentioned that we must first love our self before we can truly love other. It is right only, you're welcome!.

In the Bible, Jesus at one point says "The best gift a man could ever give is to lay down his life for his friends". I'm not a religious person at all, but I think this is one of the best lessons you could learn from the Bible. I believe this is the only time you can safely say you truly love someone, when you are willing to lay down your life for them, EVEN when they're not willing to do the same for you. This is what they call "unconditional love" :)
