Actually i dont own any of them. That question rises when our company gave blackberry bold to our managers as their incentives and for emails. Few days ago, a blackberry look alike phone was introduced with a 50% sale in the market. The day it was open for sale was a big success, "sold out" all items. And even many are still desiring to have such after the sale period. Here comes my officemates, one the desperates who had not availed one of the promo, wanting to buy an original blackberry phone with a relatively high cost. My other officemate told him that blackberry has no service centre in the phils and you need to bring it in Singapore for the repair etc. (dont know if this is true?) Until now he still confused on what to buy since he has been weighing the cost/benefit of both the Orig Blakberry or the look alike one. Need Your suggestions one this.. thank You.

Globe and Smart offers blackberry to their postpaid subscribers. So if your office mate can afford, he/she should try going to these mobile companies. The monthly subscription is high though. There are lots of blackberry look alike in the market today ranging, the least price I saw so far is 6,000 pesos. These products are new so no one knows if they can stay long. My brother owns a china phone, dual sim with TV, for more than two-three years now and it is still working fine.

Yeah but their plans i quite high and not reasonable for an ordinary employee, not unless if you're a manager. He wants to try the look alike phones but he's afraid it would cost for nothing. Anyway, your advice is appreciated =). Thank You.

Those look alikes are China phones right? I heard those phones are disposable I think Smart sells blackberry phones in the Philippines so maybe you can bring the orig phones there for repair. Of course there's always Greenhills. Blackberry is very famous here in Dubai. Ask your friend what model he wants and I can scout a good price for you

Exactly! they are china phones. There are plans in SUN, GLOBE and SMART here in Pinas but it is too expensive, i think it cost 3500/month for 24 months. So the lumpsum price would be 84,000.00. That's only my approximation. Anyway, my friend wants a Blackberry Curve 8900. Much better if you could give me websites in dubai where we can check prices so that i cannt disturbed your time scouting for me. Well, your offer is apprciated. =)Hav good day.

Blackberry original offcourse, for that matter original of everything. As fake might cost you less but eventually end up making more loss. There are many querty keyboard phone in the market these days that cost almost 50 times less than the original blackberry, but after 6 months, you will find yourself typing 9 when you actually want the number 6, that's because cheap phone use cheap technology, which only works till its warrantly time and then kaput. So always original!
