you probably heard about what happened to congressman singson. He was caught in HK of bringing drugs(cocaine)in his bag. what a shame to the government. An elected congressman violating its own laws. you are no longer in your territory where you can easily be given a pass even if you bring illegal stuffs, this is a lesson to all abusive people who travel outside the country to always obey the rules and if ever you get caught "you are dead meat"

Until proven guilty in the court, we still don't know if it his or not even how big is the possibility that he's the one bringing it. It's a shame but there's also a possibility (even it is slim) that it is not him who brought it. Don't get me wrong gelay, it's not that I'm not against it but we really can't pass judgment unless proven otherwise.

Well, this should be investigated until he is indeed proven guilty. that's why we have laws, even for a congressman. i thought i'd read a column that says he admitted it bringing it to the country

I guess rules are rules. It applies to all, even congressman or politicians they must also follow the laws they pass in fact they should be the first one to follow it right?

Yes, it is a shame really. A law maker being the law breaker. But what is also appalling is the fact that such goods get through the tight security of our airport. Or, is this another case of VIP treatment? Whichever, our airport officials who let this through should also be relieved from their duties.

what everybody is forgetting is the lack of security of our airports. let him rot in there. no one is above the law even if that law is from another country, ill accept anything i can.

Hello Gelai, thank you for this post. We will just have to wait and see what will happen. But if i were to be asked what my thoughts on this? i want him to rot in jail because of what he has done betraying the trust of the people of the Philippines. He doesn't have any power there even though he is a congressman in our country. it is even a big disgrace he has given our nation. well i am pretty sure he will get away with it because he will now use all his great amount of money to free himself. let's just wait and see.

I saw the news last night. Ms. Leila Delima asked the NAIA how did Mr. Singson got through the security, that alone is already a big lapse in the immigration and airport security. I doubt Mr. Singson went through body check which anybody in the govt. except the President is included in the said routine. He cannot be treated as a congressman in HK because he dint use diplomatic passport but the ordinary one that would make his case more difficult. if he is proven guilty, he would serve 4 to 5 yrs imprisonment. thanks guys for your comments.
