I think that this diet like many others is a fad diet and while you may lose weight quickly, the weight loss will not be permanent and is certainly not healthy. The only way to lose weight safely and permanently is to exercise, incorporating weight training into your exercise regimen, and to cut down on the amount of food that you eat, ensuring that you eat 1200 calories. Your weight loss will be slower but it will be healthy and long lasting if you recognize that you have to change your eating habits personally.

Bananas are very good for you. But they don't contain all the vitamins that you need daily. And did you know to many bananas can kill you. Because of the potassium. But I am assuming you mean just eat 1 banana a day. The best thing to do is eat 3 small healthy meals and make sure that you exercise for at least an hour a day.

I think bananas are good for you, but I wouldn't eat them to lose weight, and I don't think eating nothing but bananas is good for you. If your friend is doing this to lose weight, she had better stop and consult a doctor or someone who can help her with a more balanced diet for weight loss.
