i really had a very hard time trying to chose what anti virus i'm gonna use for my computer. my options are avira and microsoft essentials. i've used microsoft essential before but when somebody told me that avira is nice and effective i changed the anti virus installed in my computer. now, a friend of mine told me that microsoft essentials is better and more effective, i'm planning to install microsoft essentials again. what can you suggest? it would be very much appreciated.

I use microsoft security essentials but if you want to try avira, you could try it, but microsoft security essentials has always found viruses and eliminated them off my computer, so I'd recommend using that as long as you keep it updated.

I use avira since a few years ago and I like so much is light, easy to use and always are into the best antivirus in the rankings, I'm so satisfied with the performance and maybe the best part is that is free to use if you don't want to pay.
