I think employers love them because of their ability to pay attention more to detail than other workers who are not. I think its hard when you are an anal person because people will get mad at you for doing so much little things that they don't care about like tying your shoe, your attire must be perfect, etc. Luckily I wasn't an anal retentive person. It would have been hard. Are you anal?

Actually, employers don't necessarily like employees who are anal. I had the misfortune of hiring someone like that as a network technician at one point and he was a mess. He wasn't happy unless the network was operating with 100% perfection and he caused more problems than he solved by shutting things down or limiting access for minor problems that could have been dealt with at another time.

I see, that is my problem with them too. Your employee must have had OCD.

I don't know if he had OCD but he was determined that the network run perfectly at all times no matter what.
