chief engineer salary

Hi...does anyone here know how much does a chief engineer of a tanker vessel is being paid monthly?? i'm just curious bec. i know someone who is not being honest to his family and i don't know why he's doing that...thank you

Hello there! The salary would depend upon the kind of product this tanker vessel is holding. Chemical Tanker vessel's staff, crew and captain is the most high paid of all. It is automatic on the agency that the chief engineer you are referring that 80% of his salary is being deducted and it will definitely go to his wife as an allotment. 20% would only be given to him. This allotment is already a law. So all you have to do is do the math to calculate his total salary. They are also being given extra bonuses and it will depend on the agency he is connected with. The question is, if the 20 percent that is directly given to him multiplied by the number of months he is in the ship is lacking to be given to his family as well. That is the time you should be asking this question.

hi..thank you for responding..yes you're right we can actually do the math and estimate the actual amount of salary this chief engineer is receiving but...the problem is...he's not actually giving his wife the 80% of his salary.. so how would we do the math..? we don't even have any idea how much is his 20%...i just pity the wife because they have 7 children and the wife is only receiving 1200-1500$ per month...and the wife is finding it hard to budget this amount with children in college and all in private school..she has a lot of debts and the husband is mad...some of the wife's friends told her that they knew someone who works as a chief engineer and their wives are getting 80% of their salary and the amount is way too bigger than that... i really want to help the wife but i don't have any idea how to do so...=(
