you are right Letran, my son's condition could be told, an in born sleep disorder. i just remember, how his nostrils were slightly raised up when i first saw him from the delivery room. it could be that at his birth, his adenoids were already big (could be).
you people know, how desperate i am now looking for money to pay the hospital bills and the doctors for the surgery. we are still looking for it, more money. we could not go back to the doctor to schedule the surgery, we don't even have enough for the deposit in the hospital to start with.
who won't be scared again, worried, to see your child suffering at night. when you already have experienced, witnessed with your own two eyes how he was, stopped his breathing for seconds, already changed his skin color. then rushed him to the hospital?
if only we have enough money, are we going to wait for the next apnea attack?
what you have shared here are all but nothing to me now. i have spent almost the entire life of my son searching, researching for answers to this condition. i spent a lot of time on the internet. i spent a lot of money already. a lot of doctors have checked him, lots of laboratory tests.
you have given a link here. and you have given also ways to avoid it. but those are all for adult patients. will you say to zayzay have regular exercise? or lose weight (he even is underweight for his age)? avoid sleeping on his back? we do it, that's why i have posted one time, how difficult for us PARENTS to have a kid with this condition, you have to monitor his sleeps EVERY night. if the patient could not get enough sleep because of the apnea, we PARENTS also do not have enough sleeps. more, these days, i rarely get enough time to sleep because i have to BEG more from more people online. i have to do this, so we can have more money in less time to have the surgery immediately. we also want to have our GOOD NIGHT SLEEPS back.

Hello Neildc,
There's not much more i could tell about your kid but for mylotters who are here, at least i get to tell them how to avoid it or at least be aware of it. am sure if they have known kids, a friend or a relative who have this, am sure they will be notified or alarmed with the situation.
I leave the case of this sickness to you. i don't really how much i can help but let others be aware how deadly the sickness is. i guess there's a reason for every thing. well, I've seen in your topic that you're getting funds, that's good. better than nothing, right? am sorry that i didn't include your son, it would feel bad myself talking about it knowing "there's nothing i could do myself" i hope you can understand.

I have just responded to a friend here about 'sleep Apnea' and was asking the symptom of this disorder. I don't even know that there is such disorder not until I read the discussion here and through your link. Thanks for the info and I promise myself to exercise seriously.

letran whats with the boo hoo? to zayzays dad this is very real and
I have seen the video of that child not being able to breathe. I
am glad you have shared the information with all of us, but that
boohoo to me seemed inappropriate as zayzays condition is of great
concern to his father. I also need to be exercising too as I am
overweight but I never sleep on my back. Thanks for the information
as it may save a few my lotters a lot of grief.

hi hatley. you are right, Zayzay's condition is not to be taken lose. i personally is very serious about this. not only for him but also, to both of us partners. for three years, since we have witnessed his greatest attack in his first year, we were never been so confident in our sleeps. Zayzay could not sleep well, and so as we, we have to regularly monitor his sleeps.
the video only shows one of the serious attack of apnea. but that is the only one we have captured. and for 3 years, how much is that stop breathing happened to him when as some articles have mentioned, apnea could happen a hundred times in one night sleep?

hello Letran,
That's good my dear brother.
As we have known from zayzay's condition.
We should take care of our health before any illness come.
Wish people could fully understand about this health problem not to lead them into confusion.
Have a good weekend

friend, i appreciate Letran's concern here about the apnea. but he never mentioned anything about a case where a baby or child is involved, like with Zayzay. i would appreciate it more if he can tell more about the possible cure or treatment for kids.

Hello Jaiho,
It was only through Neildc's kids condition that i have become aware. oh, sorry neil i didn't really want to add burden to you by giving your kid as an example, i thought i was doing you a favor. well, at least i gave people warning about this sickness and it's not a joke.

Yes sleep apnea is a very dangerous condition. Especially if you are a driver and well it happens when you least expect it.
I took a look at your article link and it is quite interesting, I am referring a family member to also take a look as she is experiencing this problem and does not seem to believe it is a major problem.
Thank you for that and have a wonderful weekend!

Hello hardworkinggurl,
it's nice of your to have a chance to take a look at this item for once. it's not easy to conquer this kind of sickness, it's a lot worse than heart attack
.
Hi Neildc, i want to make every one aware of how to avoid it so that it won't be too late if any one or their friends experience it. @paula27661 (15811)

I agree that sleep apnoea is a danger. My husband has it and it worries me a lot. It’s good you’ve suggested exercise and losing weight because those two things are what the doctor recommended to my husband because the sleep apnoea and snoring started for him when he gained a lot of weight. It is to be taken very seriously...

Hello Paula,
the article wasn't my work at all because i just research it. i think he should sleep sideways and get some exercise to keep the heart pounding. i noticed when i am not aware that am not breathing, then i suddenly have this some sort of attack.well, am starting good for two days only now.

Letran-
A gentleman I had in class this last term also suffered from sleep apnea, and those three suggestions are not always the "cure" for sleep apnea. The next stage is having a breathing machine, which my sister-in-law currently uses. The friend in class ended up having to have surgery to cure his sleep apnea. I would suggest that if others also have been diagnosed with this condition that they work with their physician.
I suppose this is why I am always leery of articles written for “E-how”. This one only touches the surface of sleep apnea, and does not discuss the different types of sleep apnea. They also neglect the various treatments, as mentioned. Although exercise and weight loss are certainly first steps, not everyone with sleep apnea are over-weight. The Mayo Clinic( http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/sleep-apnea/DS00148 ) has a fairly well written outline of sleep apnea.
I’m still waiting for my own tests as my insurance was canceled shortly after my doctor ordered a sleep test for sleep apnea, so right now I’m starting with more exercise.

Hello Anora,
How are you? well, that's good for you. i have heard statements from my friend lotter that these treatments are expensive to the core.so, you've taken an appointment with your doctor as well. i hope it's just snoring or not that bad. i guess exercise is the only solution to keep getting these sickness like heart attack, stroke, and this sleep apnea thing..

I'm not sleeping regularly and I saw insomnia is one of the causes of this. I should really invest in my health this early than regret in the end. I don't want to give some headaches to my future family. Thanks for this all the while I thought you would only have it when you are born with it. Now I know it could kill me too if I don't take good care of myself

I don't really sleep on my back cause I feel more comfortable sleeping sidewayswhile hugging my pillow....thinking it is my "dadi"...hehehehe
anyway, it is really important to take care of that condition cause it can kill while you are peacefully sleeping.
