A Floridan Church Planing The "Burn Quran Day" on 11 Sep.....??

Hi all readers, there is a recent news in the newspapers that a Floridan church is planing : "Every Body Burn Quran Day" on 11 Sep to celebrate 9/11 Anniversary.Previously "Draw Muhammad Day" was celebrated to hurt religious sentiments of Muslims.Certainly it will also be unwanted action, which will never be liked by the sane people of all religions. On the other hand most of the Muslims still believe that the 9/11 incident was not planned by Muslims and they also never support such terrorist activities any where in this world. They believe/respect all Prophets/divine Books and have special love for Prophet Jesus(pbuh),having firm belief that he is coming to support the same Holy Quran, which is being protected divinely for centuries.Unlike any other Holy Book, there are millions of the Quran-Memorizors in this world who have memorized this big Book by heart even if Arabic is not their mother language. So no one can finish it from this world so easily. Such activities will create doubts, hatred and agitation in Muslims, therefore the Pope and the world leaders should play their role and stop such activities before it is too late. What are your views about it ......??

And the main culprit behind this "idiotic" and "disgraceful" plan is Pastor Terry Jones of Florida. The Vatican,Hillary Clinton and the Attorney General Eric Holder have already condemned it........No reasonable person will ever support such plan.

I think it is sad. These people who want to burn a holy book don't get it. There is nothing in this Holy book about 9/11! They have the right to hate whomever, but to call themselves Christians as they do this is sad. I thought The Rabbi, That's what I call Jesus, I thought He wanted His followers to love everyone , including people you deem an enemy? If that is true then they are Him more than any Muslim. For any Book to burned in His name would hurt Him , wouldn't it? I don't get angry anymore I just feel sorry that a group of people feel they have to do these things.

A very interesting Post awapak. I wonder who is trying to rile who up. I live in Florida and I really believe that if a church here was trying to foment such a hateful action, word would have gotten out to the rest of us. I have called everyone I know and asked if anyone has heard of anything like this anywhere in Florida. I have lived here all of my life and that is a very long time and I know folks all over the state. No one has heard of a church planning on doing what you have suggested. I would like to know the name of the church. All of the people I have spoken to would like to know the name of the church. There are a lot of folks here that are VERY upset by your post.....This puts all Floridians in a bad light just by you writing this. Shalom~Adoniah

Thanks for your views.I pray this news is not true and no one should ever do such provocative action against any religion or community.I am also keeping the Bible with me and i can never think of burning it even if these people burn the Quran.....No Muslim can burn any Holy Book having names of any Prophets as Moses,Jesus,Abraham,Jacob (all pbuh)....... This news was given in our local newspaper. There is some D.World Out Rage Centre at Ganis Valle(spellings may be wrong due to local language),Florida, which is using its websites for this compaign......We never blame Florida or any Floridan.Pl do not mind it.

The main culprit behind this extreme radicalism is Pastor Terry Jones of Florida.Secretary of State Hillary Clinton declared it as "the distressful, disgraceful plan".......Even the Vatican has condemned this action.Attorney General Eric Holder called this plan as "idiotic and dangerous". Every reasonable person will condemn such plan.

Since this church is in the United States, they have the right to burn the Quran if they want to, but it seems like a silly thing to do. In stead of burning the Quran, they should be praying for the Muslims that they would come to know the love of Christ and His salvation.

Thanks for your views. All the Muslims are required to believe and love Prophet Jesus(pbuh)and our Prophet Muhammad(pbuh)had advised all his followers to fight under Jesus against the last Antichrist.....We are ready to receive him and lay our lives on his orders....Certainly we will never leave him alone like his old followers.......

WTF are these people thinking. There are extremist. Do they think that they own the world. Burning Quran in Blasphemy as well, do they not know that Jesus Christ was mentioned in the Quran. And if all the Islamic world will protest, would you be able to fend 1.5 Billion people as opposed to 1.8 Billion Christians divided in different orders and sects. People should not be biased. It is obvious that these people wanted to be hated. I am a Roman Catholic, but this is simply wrong.

You are right there is a clear mention of Jesus(pbuh)and other Prophets of God as Abraham,Isaac,Jacob,Moses,David,Job,Noah(all pbuh)......Then there is a complete chapter "Surah Maryam" (in Arabic we call chaste mother Mary as Maryam)which tells us about how Jesus took miraculous birth and how he was made to speak in the cradle to testify that her mother was chaste........Then we also find many miracles of Jesus,Moses and other Prophets. All Christians should at least read this chapter once in their life.

Hi awapak, I believe that such action is wrong but I don't think the pope would be able to stop it, although he should speak out against such a thing. The pope is the head of the Roman Catholic church only, and I don't think that these are the people planning to do this. It is probably some fundamentalist group who would pay no attention to the pope. I do think that the leaders in these churches should tell their people that the only thing that this would do is spread more hatred and they must not take part in it. Blessings.

If all you can see is hate, you will miss a GREAT OPPORTUNITY!!!! Let them burn the books. In return organize muslams all over the world to send a MILLION FLOWERS in honor of the people killed. This single giant act of love will not only be remembered, it will send terrorists and other evil people who wish to generate hate a message. There is still time. TEACH THE WORLD!!!!!!

Thanks for your nice suggestion. We are ready to do that but same thing should also be done for the millions of Muslim men, women and children killed in Iraq and Afghanistan in revenge of 9/11 incident........and all the foreign troops should withdraw from these Muslim countries.

This seems to be an extremist action directed at all Muslim people rather than just those that were responsible for 9/11. Of course I suppose they have a right to burn what books they want to, but I'd advise against it since it will only be interpreted as an attack on all Muslims. Here we go again with extremist religious activity! And it's giving religion a bad name. That is, if doesn't already have a bad name. Stuff like this done in the name of religion is one of the reasons I stay away from religion of any kind.
