I've been living in Las Vegas NV for over 15 years now. If I had a choice I always wanted to live in California in a house by the beach but everything is way too expensive down there. I Love Vegas though, it has a little bit of everything. You can get to Lake Mead in about half a hour or if you rather go to the mountains you can go to Mt. Charleston which is about half an hour to 45 min. the other way. Vegas is a 24 hour town so you can shop, drink, gamble, see shows or concerts every day of the year. All you can eat buffets are every were. I love the weather too. I love the heat in the summer and it doesn't get lower than 30 degrees in the winter. If you want to get away for the weekend you can get a nice hotel on the strip see a show lay by the pool and play tourist. We have no Tornado's, earthquakes, hurricanes or major flooding here either. I guess the crime rate is just about like it is for any big city so there isn't much you can do about that. What is your city like and were would you rather be?

Sounds like a pretty place. My co-worker has a house in the Philippines and her back yard are full of orchids. You must have the right kind of weather to grow them so pretty.

The show is on again right now, one of my favorite shows. I just love the beach ,sunshine and walking along the boardwalk. I love San Fransisco, Disney land and everything about the sunshine state. I trade Vegas for California any day if I could afford it.

My city has some pretty weird weather. One week, we had a tornado on sunday, then the following day it was the hottest day in 10 years. On Tuesday we had a blizzard, then melted on Friday. It was kind of cloudy on Saturday. That was just a month ago, and that was the most the weather had ever changed in a year. All in all, it was a very weird week.

First of all, I envy people like you, living in a better country than mine, economic-wise, and in a state where everything everywhere seems fun, atleast that's how I perceive it be or maybe it's just too much TV for me. Anyway, my city isn't that big, and not much progress have been happening here compared to the bigger cities in our country. Life is simple and easy here, if one is not too ambitious and can be satisfied with the basic necessities in life, I suggest living in our city. Cost of Living is not too high, meat, fish, and vegetables are fresh and abundant. There's a little town to shop to and there are resorts and parks to relax. Pollution is not a threat yet. So generally my town is great for the not so ambitious and easily satisfied citizen. Zamboanga City, is a place of various culture and religion, yet very adaptable. I can't say that I'm proud of it but it definitely has it's good sides.
