Were the reliant cars actually reliable?

Hello everyone I was just thinking to myself today about the reliant robin. You know, the old 3 wheeled car, with one at the front, which people joked about falling over (if you took a corner at speed etc). Well, i just wanted to ask, were they actually reliable, i mean they had reliant in the name? Or was that just the brand that was made to make them seem more reliable than they actually were? Thanks
