what does it mean, this star next to your name?

I know it's a rating, but does it mean higher the rating the more earnings per post?
and how does the rating go, is it from 1-10 and 10 is the best?

Thanks for starting this discussion. I was wondering myself as to what is the star and the number's for. I thought it was only due to you've given so many responses here on myLot. But now it's all cleared up that you can earn much more if you got higher ratings... and that's totally great right?! ^.^
