Actions speaks louder than words

Since babies can't talk, they communicate through their actions. So, it is important to you to know and understand what your baby's trying to tell you through his actions. This will help you give your child's needs and take care of him easily. From 0-3 months, your new born will appear to be sending out a lot of signals. From birth, he will turn his head whenever you touch his cheeks and extend his legs and arms when hes upset. Your baby will also take a step forward when his foot touches a flat surface and clutch your finger when you stroke his palm. On the contrary, experts say that these gestures don't mean anything but instead are just simple reflexes your child was born with. After a couple of months, you'll notice that some of these gestures will completely disappear while others will evolve into more purposeful actions.

Hi, Yes...I fully agreed with your statement. A baby can't talks and their action will tell a mother of what he/she wants. It is good to have a close bonding between a mother and a baby, that is why it is advisable to b/f your baby if possible. That's one of the way where a baby will get a close contact with his/her mother. I also like to massage my son when he was a baby,it helps to soothe him and also we will have a close interaction with each other. He will see me and will even smile to me. As my son grows up, he is able to tell me what he wants and of course, he gets to know more things and wanna to explore more. This is the beauty of childhood and always enjoy your motherhood!!

I think during this time a baby is adjusting to the outside world, yet he has known you for whatever time he/she has been in the womb. Remember he/she heard your voice the most, felt what you felt, ate what you ate, etc. I had a preemie which I held on my chest for his first week of life only because nurses stressed how important skin contact would be for the child. I don't care if it's simple reflexes to be reached out to me as well.

Your baby is very smart. Remember he is already several months old before he is born and now he is adapting to his new environment. He is watching you carefully and has already made an assessment of you as a parent. He will soon form a definite opinion of where you are at as his parent so it is important to get it right from the start. Many parents wait till the baby is older to start teaching and suddenly realize that it is already too late. Baby has summed you up right from the start and has worked out exactly what he has to do to get his way. Once he develops those habits you will have much difficulty teaching him otherwise. We all know that baby does not have to be taught to be naughty because that comes naturally so we have to be diligent to shape his habits from day one and life will be so much easier. Love your baby. Enjoy your baby. But start to teach your baby from day one. Tomorrow may be too late.

Yes i agree with you, I do believe that mother's touch is very important for babies too. So every morning I massage him and talk to him and he smiles back. Now that he's !0 months old, most of that reflexes were gone and he communicates with me by saying simple words such as mama, papa, am and mamam.. There I could understand him more.

Constant communication with your newborn is really important. It lets you bond with the baby as well as help the baby recognize and use his/her senses and get to know his surroundings. It's like a daily orientation with the baby.
