I love cooking very much. Though the climate sometimes is too hot in baking breads, I will do it to accompany the dishes I'm making for my family, whether it maybe Indian, Morrocan or Italian. I feel good when I see my family's faces light up and savor the tastes of my cooking. I use the internet to look for more recipes though I already have a lot of cook books in my kitchen. It feels good to be able to eat variety of foods without going to the restaurants. First, it's homey, made from scratch and not from pockets of sauces and it's cheaper, but have to invest in hard work! Happy cooking to all.

I like to cook local foods, not so on international foods. If you plan on coming to the Philippines, I’d like to mention one of the tasty things you will experience.Yes, it shall be yummy in your tummy. I like to cook "pancit". Have you heard about Lo-Mein? It’s a popular dish in American Chinese meals. Some just simply call it “Chinese noodles”. Pancit, to me, is like this- not to mention, it was influenced by the Chinese. It is cooked noodles, tasting like lo-mein, and is cooked with random things (small shrimp, shredded carrots, pieces of cabbage or lettuce. There are many variations of it, so ingredients differ. It is usually a snack dish, or side dish. Happy Cooking everyone! Good day :) (please rate me)

Hi, juneramir, Yes, pancit is one of my favorite food. Try to put some 5 spice on it, it's chinese mixed spices that you can find in SM or Robinson Supermarkets and try to throw some sesame seeds just right after cooking. And the Pancit (fried noodles) will be heavenly!!! It's very good!!

I love cooking too and there is nothing better than seeing people enjoy a meal that you have worked hard at. It is much cheaper and healthier to make your own foods from scratch.

Thanks guys for your nice response. Take care and happy cooking!!! My aunt say to me that I can cook pretty quick! I plan in my head what to cook and how much time it will take me to prepare and cook the lot so as not to waste time and energy. Last January, I cooked for 150 people for my hubby's birthday! I like to do it myself and I'm sure that the foods are prepared cleanly. I cooked several big pots of boiled rice, fried chicken, chicken spring rolls, chicken curry, pork stew (afritada), fried fish, shrimp bahjis (indian), roasted Debone whole stuffed chickens, 3 big pans of potato creamed bake, prawns in sweet and sour sauce, the pancit (fried noodles)!!!! Wew, that's a lot, isn't it? But everybody enjoyed it. With a fresh salad that I prepared too and desserts...gelatine, fruit salad and leche flan (egg custard). I even made pizza that I cooked a week a head, cut into serving pieces then freeze and reheat in microwave before serving and people loved it. I baked spice cakes, cut into pieces and served when thawed. And lastly, I cooked meatloaf, cut into good portions then freeze and used as a give away to people for coming to the occasion and everybody's happy!! And then after that though very tired, people still ask me to sing for them!!! So my role was a cook, the host and the singer! Singing was my previous profession and that's how I met my hubby! My hubby was very happy that his b-day was very busy, lots of food, lots of people and of course gifts!!! A happy hubby!

Hi, I love anytype of foods as long as they taste delicious. Of course, my favourite is those spicy foods like curry, rendang, tomyam and any food that has spicy taste. I do my cooking at home everyday for my family. Once a while,I will flip some recipes online or my cookbooks. I prefer to cook something simple, easy to get the ingredients and also need less time to prepare.I hate those dish which required long time to prepare all the stuffs. It is definitely more healthier to eat home cooked meal, and really can save money comparing to dining-out.

Hello, That's nice. Me too I like simple meals, but there kind of dishes that really need of lots preparation and longer length of cooking. Like I cook our Sunday Dinner (Sunday lunch), and that will be roasting chicken, pork or beef. And with that I will have to cook the gravy, the vegetables, the rice cause my aunts eat rice, mashed or roasted potatoes. And in a hot country like the Philippines, to put on the oven is like big challenge for your strength, but after the sweat and long time of cooking, it's all worth it!!

I love cooking too. I've been living outside my own country for more than 10 years now and I have lived in 3 different countries so I would say that our daily diet is more of an international foods, a mix of all local foods. I eat how local people eat in my host country. I'm just blessed to be in places where local foods are good and tasty. I had years enjoying Chinese food in China, then Malay and Indian food in Malaysia, and now I can't get enough of Thai food!!! I'm happy that I can cook them all in my own kitchen. I can make noodles and dumplings from scratch. I can make Beryani rice in my rice cooker. I have local spices in my garden. And I collect different spices each time I travel. I share the same good feeling with you when it comes to cooking variety of food in my own kitchen. Happy cooking to you too!

Thanks ruthsm, It's a nice feeling being able to provide this kind of service to our family. It's easier and cheaper, and we are able to keep them healthy too, that we can choose the things we like to cook and see what it better to eat. We lived in different country too before we moved here in the Philippines for good. We lived in Thailand then the U.K. and here and we visited Australia. I loved the lamb barbeque in Australia, they have more. I eat too much I think that I got sick hehehe, not throwing out but just not feeling good. Cause I know that when we get home, lamb is so expensive. Right now, I can say that it's been a long time that I have not had a lamb for dinner or something hehehe. I miss it. We went back to Thailand last 2008, and I loved the food again, and it was very exciting to taste them again. I cook Chinese, Morrocan, Indian, Italian, British, Filipino, Korean And Thai foods. I bake Cakes, pastries, and my own fresh home baked breads and pizzas, so my hubby is very happy that I cook this way. I used to plant herbs in my garden but when we had cats, they liked to pull them out and play with it lol, and now our new pup is destroying my garden hehe. We live close to the beach so it's very hot in where we are, and growing herbs aside from basil and coriander is difficult. But we get our dried herbs and spices, in a supermarket, 1hr away from our home. My cabinet is full of herbs and spices. I make my own pasta and dumplings too. We are kinda the same in cooking ruthsm. You take care and happy cooking again.
