How do you feel about mylot payment system?

Although mylot is very interesting website, I see the payment system very ambiguous. Sometimes you get 1 cent for an answer, sometimes you do not get anything. I think that the system should be explained in more details. This will encourage more people to participate. I guess a lot of people already quit mylot due to the ambiguous payment system. What is your opinion? How can mylot develop a better system?

You obviously are not aware that those with higher stars are rewarded more for their posts. Why not read and UNDERSTAND how things work here before criticising??!

They have that. I personally agree with MyLot. It rewards frequent sensible posters and filters out spammers.

I have a question for mysdianait though. Does it matter if you tag discussions or not?

If you do what myLot tell us to do you will earn. If you start topics which will be deleted, like this one, you are wasting your time. I am not complaining at all. I know that if I use myLot like it should be used I can reach payout without eeven trying to, EVERY SINGLE MONTH, just with the discussions. Go see my profile for proof! Then read the Guidelines nad the FAQS and understand that myLot is NOT a paid-to-post site! http://www.mylot.com/o/mylot.aspx

Yousaid that the system is ambiguous. It is NOT. If you read the FAQS and the Guidelines we are told what to do. For example we are told to READ previous responses before posting our own. Have you any idea how many times I read a discussion with 3 pages of responses ALL saying the same as the first one? You think that they are all going to get paid??! Maybe that is why some of your posts are worth nothing?

If anybody takes myLot a site for getting some money only, he must think very well and carefully of what kind of posting he has to make so that it doesn't get deleted.

Thanks for ur comment. I did not say that mylot should become a piad-to-post site. I read the guidelines. I still think that the system needs some improvements. This is an opinion, not a criticism. Everything can be developed in this world, even mylot.

I have joined in Mylot for a long time, but until now I am not sure about the payment system here. I can figure out how exactly our posts are worth. Mylot says it pays according to the quality of the posts. And it seems that short posts are not the qualified one. I love China

BlackLight in the Guidelines we are told: "Don't Post anything that inaccurately explains the myLot earnings algorithm. Our myLot mathematicians have worked long and hard on our elaborate payment system and we wouldn’t want any of our users to make them feel inadequate by breaking their algorithm in minutes." http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx In the FAQs we are also told: "How do I calculate my earnings? Earnings are calculated based on a proprietary model that rewards quality responses, relevant discussions and images, and normal website activities." and we are know that myLot is a discussion site. MyLot tell us to post + respond + comment which is what a discussion is all about. http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx#14 The longer you are actively posting in the way that myLot suggest then the sooner you will realise what to do to achieve the results that you are hoping for. If you also concentrate on having FUN here and not treating like a job, you will reach those results sooner!

That's exactly what I want to know. I understand that short answers are not quality posts but I think even long answers also sometimes do not qualify even if useful. Why do not you tell us what do you think your posts worth? Do you get rewarded in some cases more than other cases? Are some questions worth more? Is answering unanswered questions worth more?

Crapola. That's what I think of it I can't figure out why the min payout is $10 but you only earn like 2 cents per discussion response(3-4 lines long) and i'm not sure if you earn anything for others responses to your discussions but all in all I spend much more time on my blog improving it. Mylot Payment System Sucks!

At first I was bothered by the site not having a clear overview of how payments worked, but I got over it pretty fast, as I'm sure you will. It might not be the best system for us users, but it works, so I'm fine with it. I look at earning as a nice perk for posting on a large forum. So just treat the site like any other forum you frequent for fun, and not as a source of income.

I don't know how I feel about their system because their "system" seems to be too secretive to tell any of us about. I would love to know how much we actually earn and for what. Your right, it would be encouraging us to do what they want us to do on this site. For example if they pay us 1 cent for responding to other's discussions and 5 cents for creating a discussion, they obviously want us to post more discussions, so that would encourage us to do so. The fact that they don't let us know just leaves me wondering.. Why for some posts we get 1 cent, and for some we get more than that, is there a valid reason? Is it just luck/chance? It would be nice to know.

Ive been here for a while and I really don't have a problem with it. They tell you right in the guidelines not to try to figure out their formula for paying. I know I enjoy it here and I think the key is to just get into it and the earnings just happen. Why would anyone join up to site and as a newbie immediatly want to start changing things up??

Mylot's payment system has long been questioned by many of its members. Let's look on the brighter side. It pays good and it pays on time. Though not all of us are satisfied of the earnings we get from the site. But come to think of it, even though this members are not satisfied with the sites payment system, they still remain active in the site with the motive of earning money. That's something worth pondering about.

I think the Mylot payment system is pretty good and as long as you are regularly using the site then you should start to benefit from the earnings. You can earn a lot more on some other sites but this is a good way of adding to your overall online income.
