Why Dhoni didnt pick Munaf Patel,no one was bowling well, then why not try him?

Ya mee too thought dhoni will give him a chance atleast for the last test. No one is bowling well.dhoni should give the others chance.

Hello, It is waste to pick the dummy pacer Munaf as he never bowls accurately in any match.If he was selected in the team then the srilankan must be targeting him.He bowls at a bad line.He has no pace like the young bowlers like Ishant or Mithun.I hope the Indian team will give their best to level the series.They need to win their third test as they have to level the series.

As a captain I will never pick up Munaf in any of my teams if I have an option. The reason is his overall demeanor and his fatigued approach to the game is a real no-no for any team sport. I think the selectors have given Dhoni a player who cannot really be picked for an international cricket, that is the reason why he does not pick him up. Cheers! Ram

I agree with you that munaf should have been tried, but may be since he dosent have much pace and wickets are slow here with almost very little swing , so they gave mithun another chance who bowls with decent pace, having said that i think dhoni was not having any options and this bowling attack without harbhajan is more weak , harbhajan was out of form all right but he can change the game if pitch has some assistance for spinners , because he has got temperament to perform , though personally i agree that munaf patel should have been tried because mithun is predictable with his indippers, dosent seem to take bowl away , so yeah when everyone is bowling bad its good to try someone who is just warming the benches nothing else.India missed zaheer and sreesanth big time here .
