I hope some of you still remember the discussion that I started a while back. It was about how annoyed I was with my officemate who sleeps all the time. You can go to this link if you want a refresher http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2321493.aspx Anyway, he is organizing an exhibition this September so he doesn't get to sleep as much anymore but he still snoozes from time to time. His boss came by this morning asking for the papers he asked for yesterday. He was quite mad because my seatmate did not finish it. He came back this afternoon with a different chore and he came just in time when my seatmate was snoozing! He got mad and told my seatmate to take a week of and come back after he is refreshed. My seatmate didnt back off. He said his eyes were closed but he was not sleeping and they went into an argument. Doesn't my officemate have guts or what??? If it was me, I would have just said sorry and say that it wont happen again. Has this happened to you before? Has your caught you sleeping? What did you do?

Hi dear, I am against this attitude. It is not recommended to sleep at office hours and it is a bad tendency. If someone is sick or ill, ok, we can understand the situation. But having a regular sleep also in office around other people is not a suggestive idea. Some years back, in my earlier work place one person used to sleep at lunch break and he normally sleep about 1/2 hr. sleep. But it was at his break time and no one can blame him. Here, you can openly ask him or advise him that it not a good thing to sleep at office time and don't make it as a habit. If you cannot tell it, you can make a botheration through his superior person. Better to bring the matter to him and find some alternative suggestions. Regards, Thank-s

is a total lack of respect for you, making your partner does not value being able to have a job, still do not understand how is working there. And you will harm the actions of your partner during sleep that is you have to do the work for the 2? if so you should tell your boss, so you know it's not the first time he falls asleep on the job. Unfortunately your partner is irresponsible, lazy and disrespectful and will not last long if it continues.

he is not my partner. he just sits near my work station. we have different bosses too. I agree with you. he is lazy!!! and i think his boss knows that because he always shouts at him for not being able to finish his work on time. but he is the couzin of one of the managers here, so they dont sack him even if everyone knows that he is no good.

Hi, Just ask him to quit and go. Then he will realise the pain. However, if it is not at all bothering you, ignore the same and don't take any pain in such cases. There are few around us like this, where we cannot do anything. Regards, Thanks
