That is true! The computer full size keyboard also does that! Calculator: Cellphone: Computer: 7|8|9 1|2|3 7|8|9 4|5|6 4|5|6 4|5|6 1|2|3 7|8|9 1|2|3 I never noticed it before!

Hey, congrats on your new discovery :D. You are like a detective, observing the objects in details ^^. Haizzz, but I haven't found the reason yet. Anyone else?

Yep, noticed it many many years ago. Not just cell phones, but land line phones also. I think the technalogical geeks just like to confuse us.

I have noticed that as well, and I have also wondered why it is like that. I only wish I knew, but them maybe it was done that way to confuse all of us. I really wish the numbers weren't reversed, as I have a tendency to hit the wrong ones, as I am used to them one way, and then see them another way whether it be the phone or calculator. It really makes not sense, but then lots of things in this life don't make sense, so I guess we all just have to live with the fact the numbers are not the same. Take care, and have a very good day.

even i've noticed it before n couldn't get the correct reason but normally, we use a calculator keeping it on a surface and then pressing the buttons with our fore fingers, mostly people use their one hand for calculation, not both hands so it is designed in a sequential way as it would be comfortable for a person to type n some people use mobile phones with both the hands n that too with thumb. So mostly the person has to see the digits in the straight order and in which the thumb is not too much twisted and turned too much. try typing the number the way as in calculator display mode, u find it difficult
